Good evening, everyone is most welcome to pop in and toast the start of this new year. I feel we may be a bit more casual this evening as am sure all are a bit weary with too much partying.
There are plenty of nibbles on the hall buffet table and of course, mulled wine and tailcocks too, any suggestions for new mixes will be met where possible.
Any rejected xmas gifts will be more than welcome as ruffle prizes and if it is very quiet, will be rolled over until next week.
So welcome all both new and old, slightly mad or just a bit miffed. Any good party game ideas would be fun . I do hope Milady does not mind this impromptu opening.

My contribution is another half a tin of Roses, only in this case hard centres only, and nutty ones. I also have a once loved party hat which looks a bit like one of those santa claus hats. May as well get rid of that. And two yo-yos which were in the crackers we had on Christmas day. Is it my imagination or are we very sparse tonight? Everyone still recovering from Christmas and New Year's Eve.
Happy New Year All
.
Still feeling fairly fragile after The Christmas Charades. How the eight year old thought we older family members could manage 'The Eagle of the Ninth' does not bear thinking about. Wuthering Heights was performed ingeniously.
Did manage to filch some scrummy garlic olives from the twelve year old for the trifle.
Could manage a bloody mary (gin instead of vodka please) and a water biscuit.

Might as well start on the goodies then. Have we got to finish up the left-overs and if so what are they? Hope you have kept them in the fridge. 5 day old stuffing might not taste quite the same and pigs in blankets might need a good sniff before eating but I'm willing to take a chance if you are and we can drink plenty of your tailcocks to wash them down. Here goes nothing!
