Well that takes " dressing up " a tad too literally in my opinion. The beauty of the game is that the clothes never actually fit, unlike what these children are paraded wearing, dressed as mini clones. Too weird.
Well I don't think it's cute... not sure I'd go creepy either... I think I lean more towards 'odd'. But then when I was a little girl I'd have loved to dress up as a princess and have my photo taken. Dunno. Juries out with me.
Inappropriate is a good word. I can't help but think we project our own idea of creepiness on to it if that makes sense. I see a lot of children dressed up like princesses (well I guess celebrities are the modern day fairy tales in a way).... but I can see how taken out of context it has a more sinister side.
That's exactly it. I think dressing up as a princess is fine, most little girls like to do this. Dressing up as an 'adult' is just a bit... well... like you say, odd, really.
