I know how popular these threads are with EVERYONE, so here goes..
We're having salmon, stir fry with hoisin sauce, and noodles.
Tomorrow we're having pizza and salad.
Saturday I'm pushing the boat out and we're having king prawn and avocado cocktail to start with, delias chicken basque for main, and home made syllabub for pud. No doubt copious amounts of cocktails, gin and wine will also be consumed. Oh, and some davidstow extra mature cheddar, and a tasty bit of Stilton if anyone has room, maybe a touch of gentleman so relish too, I do love a bit of that..
What's in your menu tonight?

Oh, sweet suffering Jesus!
Home made shepherds pie - lashings of it !

I must admit to being a trifle concerned about

///gentleman so relish too, I do love a bit of that///

Hope you enjoy it, Ethan.
I am having a cheese roll and coffee.
A rarity here - we're sharing a sirloin steak! It was near date and so on special offer. Hope it's edible! Horseradish sauce of course, haricot beans, I'll make an onion and red wine sauce, mushrooms and what we call 'pommes de terre Les Mornes. ' This is how smallish, whole potatoes were cooked at a place where we used to cram into a converted barn to hear good live music - usually classical Baroque - they were sort of simmered all day and then spread in a paella pan with oil and seasonings. Super, I assure you.
So you are having trifle Balders?
If I wasn't feeling so carp I might enjoy relishing a gentleman. Sadly the one in easy reach looks like an extra from Star Trek.

Tonight, I'll be tucking into a bowl of Heinz tomato soup :-(

I love those baby Canaries cooked potatoes boiled in brine with green Mojo sauce. :-)

'gentleman so relish'...where did that come from?!?!
Should have been 'gentlemans relish' of course, made with anchovies, duh!
I could perhaps so relish a gentleman though, given the opportunity and right circumstances.
Think I'd quite enjoy jourdains dinner, haven't had any kind of steak in quite a while.
Pete, sometimes a cheese roll and coffee is just perfect...what kind of cheese?
"Tonight, I'll be tucking into a bowl of Heinz tomato soup".

Lush, stick some mash in it and it'll be sublime ;)

We're having Toad in the Hole, can't wait.
Probably nothing but I did have a nice goat's cheese and walnut salad for lunch.

Where does the sweet "suffering Jesus" hail from? :-)

How to ruin a lovely bowl of Heinz tomato soup, shove some mash in it. You're not serious are you rocky?
Scream of pumpkin soup with blood orange, followed by Monterrey jack cheese omelet with potato wedges and sweet corn.

Let us know how the salmon turns out.
Is my reply invisible then eth ???
Blue cheese has now been hailed as a superfood...
Does anybody ever eat eggs, chips and beans? Or my favourite gammon, egg and chips (gammon sometimes topped with a pineapple ring and grated cheese popped under the grill) chips are a rare treat by the way
I'm absolutely serious. I love it with mash.
