Jammies on! Welcome to the Mad Over Fifties Pyjama Party!

Tonight's Tailcock, the "Nightcap" a potent brew guaranteed not to send you to sleep (at first anyway). In addition to the usual selection of horses doovers and volly vonts, tonight's "hot plate" will be a delicious Mince and dumpling pie (courtesy of the Hairy bikers, thank you) also on the pudding trolley is a delicious fruit crumble and custard.

The minstrels will be back in the gallery playing a selection of mardigals and fugues and as a special treat, some lullabies and later on their interpretaion of the greatest hits of ZZ Top. For your further delight, we bring you at great expense the Performing Penguin Parade of Mr. Percival Potter! Who will be performing outside on the newly refurbished ice rink! A real treat indeed.

For the rofl I offer: 1 cat grooming brush (unused)
Pair of ice skates - one with a blunt blade
a cushion and a tie to attach it to the "derriere" in case
of slippage on the ice.

Carriages or sleighs will arrive at midnight.

Welcome to all who dare enter the portals on Nungate Towers

I could never get the italics right at all Tony. I could sometimes turn the font on the laptop onto italics but I have no idea how I did it or how I could get it back to my usual font
depilation works wonders.....am I legless or hairless?
Thought that was Double Diamond DT.
an excellent paint stripper, Daisy!

I do enjoy learning new things Daisy, especially on the computer. I frequently claim to be road kill on the information superhighway! Basically I haven't a clue about computers and how they work but I can touch type, was taught at school, no such things as laptops and personal computers when I was learning to type, I'm sure Noah must have used some of the typewriters we had at school, they were so old!
Question Author
It all depends on the strength of the "nightcap" as to whether you are legless or hairless DT.

Though I do hear waxing is very effective.................
Abacus's and calculator's come to mind in my case, nungate.
I thought it was only Tony who leaned over when he wrote and now everybody's leaning over
Or is it the effect of the Nightcap?
Or am I leaning over and everyone else is writing up straight?
Igor, more Nightcap needed, please
Don't go for the waxing DT, I still walk with a limp after gness gave me a right good waxing !.
Never learned to touch type. Have a son to whom IT is like breathing. He sometimes tries to explain things but does not grasp the fact that when it comes to technology I am THICK.
Question Author
I did say the "nightcap" was somewhat potent...............
Tony have your nightcaps allowed apostrophes to get the better of you?
Not thick at all Daisy, just a different generation who did not grow up with all this modern technology like most of us on this thread.
Iv'e always had that problem Miss daisy, I'm afraid I was born with it.
I can't lean over
Question Author
I agree it must be a generation thing. I can't understand this sending a text message when it is far simpler to actually tallk to someone....
Even queenie she sits upstairs talking on answerbank quite often to me when she could just pop downstairs! (with my arthritis I try to keep stair climbing
to a minimum). She's nursing a nasty cold, and won't be putting in an appearance here tonight.
Never mind Tony. I'ts th'e th'ug't that count's.
Hope she gets well soon nungate. My kids will also send their mom a text from upstairs mad ain't it.
Oh I did.
Don't mind me I'm just amusing me self over here in the corner near the vollyvongs. I've licked all the mushroom ones, that's why they're all nice and shiny.
Do you think I ought not to have any more of the nightie caps?
