The breakdown on the arrests was confirmed by West Midlands Police following a Freedom of Information request.


Well it did take a freedom of information request, I doubt if the breakdown of the arrest figures would have been reported without that.

If you have a demonstration, you usually get a counter-demonstration, and there is no guarantee of appropriate behaviour by either side.

However, I would take a bet that none of the UAF team have got 'UAF' and a bar code tattoed on their heads like our 'steward' friend in the picture.

It looks as if the arrests were preventative...if you are talking about the incident in Dudley about a month ago.

"Chief inspector Phil Dolby, from Dudley police, said: “Both protests went without incident, to my knowledge in terms of violence or disorder there were no offences.”

Police made a total of 25 arrests during the protests, 24 involved the same group of people and were made before the demonstrations began as a preventative measure to avoid a breach of the peace."
