Windows 10 Update Help!
6 Answers
Since Windows 10 large update about 7 days ago I am having difficulty keeping signed into sites. I run Chrome for some sites and use Microsoft Edge for others. I have Microsoft Defender as a Firewall.
Every time my laptop is restarted from shut down or sleep mode I have to sign into both Browsers -sometimes having to use 2 step verificatio. Sites I am normally kept signed into require sign in. I use Outlook to access my three Gmail Accounts and each time this is opened I have to sign into each email account, sometimes requiring 2 step verification. I have been trying to resolve this for a week -have tried and checked everything I can think of and some suggestions from Forums, not of which have worked. Some of the things I’ve already tried that have not worked:
Clearing all cookies/History/Cache and then resigning not everything.
Checking both Browser settings to make sure all Cookies are accepted and not deleted on shut down.
Making sure Browsers are 'synching'
Checking both Browsers that ‘use 2 step verification is turned off
Checked that settings in Windows defence allow cookies
Turn on the ‘allow less secure apps to access your account’ in my Gmail accounts -this has worked before when I had the same problem last year, but not now.
Turning off the Fire Wall.
Taking all Gmail Accounts off Outlook and then re adding them.
Any suggestions Please? Its taking me about 20 minutes each day signing into things

G'morning AuntPG.....Now that Bertrum has identified the reason for your problem, it might be worth your installing another Browser.
You can have as many browsers as you like and use them as and when you like.
I never use Edge, which is automatically installed in Windows 10, but have preferences for Firefox and SeaMonkey. Buenchico always recommended Firefox although, without my knowing his reasons, he has mentioned that his default Browser is now Slimjet.
Hans.

hans -thanks for the suggestion. I am thinking about ditching chrome for a number of reasons, so this may just be the catalyst. I only use Edge for AB and some word games I play that for some reason won't work correctly with Chrome. Unfortunately this won't stop Microsoft from signing me out of my Microsoft Account and Cloud account 2-3 times a day, nor solve the problem with Outlook wanting Gmail passwords every time my laptop reboots.
