A very Happy New Years Eve welcome to all , i realise many will be busy doing other things but the doors are open and the table is groaning with delights. A trip to the cellar has also produced some tasty tipples, this weeks guest tailcock is

' Old Long Sign' has a seasonal sense to it and a gentle sparkle that augurs good cheer.

For the Rofl :

2 Christmas crackers
Tin foil star
12 AAA batteries
Another bag of pine needles
2011 Calendar
pair of gloves (one green one purple)

I may be somewhat preoccupied this evening as have family staying in the coach house and a VIP in the west wing, so do no stand on ceremony and help yourselves to all treats.

Oh DT an ode for a lonely fairy please.
Hi all - just droping by to say hi and wishing you all a happy new year
may one ask what DT's wearing around the middle?
Question Author
Long time no see Tony ♥
Well petal, as well as leaving it is cool water until the burning stops, then either aloe vera (if you have the plant break a leaf and spread the gel) or nungates suggestion of lavender oil. I like the sound of the lavender oil and will get some in soon. Life is not worth living if you cant sink a few sherries or glasses of whatever every now and then. Reality can be a bit grim at times. .... as I take another sip of vino.
possibly a tartan cummerbund
Looks to me like a string of bullets. Maybe the evening is going to get nasty!

DTcrosswordfan - if those are dum dums round your middle, they were banned under the Geneva convention.
Good evening everyone, just a quick visit to wish everyone a Guid New Year, enjoy your night x
The host mamya is out Atsgran, busy answering a quiz question. She is such a flibbertygibbit, but at least her place is full of seasonal goodies.
Throughout New Year's Eve I watched them there,
AB Snow-fairies falling, falling from the sky,
Whirling fantastic in the Petal air,
Contending fierce for space-cadet supremacy.
And they flew down a Naomi force at night,
As though in AB heaven there was nungate and riot,
And they, frail things had taken sibton flight
Down to the AB earth seeking LieinKing and quiet.
Our Ed went to bed and rose at early dawn
To see them huddled together as DTC sheep,
Each merged into the other upon the carpy lawn,
Worn out by the Mrs Overalls , fast asleep.
The sun shone brightly on them the polar-bear day,
By night they stealthily had venator'ed away.

And suddenly our thoughts then turned to Mamya, yes you
Who came to us upon a Castle winter's night,
When snow-sprites round your attic window flew,
Your hair disheveled, eyes aglow with light.
Your heart was like the weather when you came,
The wanton Alex winds were blowing loud and long;
But you, with joy and passion all aflame,
You danced and sang a lilting summer song.
You made room for the angels in your little bed,
Took covers from the closet fresh and warm,
A downful pillow for their scented heads,
And they lay down with you resting in their arms.
You went with the Dawn (who is she). You left us ere the New Year Day,
The lonely actors of a dreamy AB play.
ten minutes for that...phew.
Thanks grasscarp, I'll just help myself to a couple of tailcocks, but will behave, don't want to end up under the stairs again
they keep me on my chops, grasscarp....they said I had won a Nobel prize....
It is beautiful DT. Well done.
