Haven't heard from you for some time, did you see that I was having trouble with the Gazetteer quiz? HELP

I cant look between 60 and 62 (! haven't got 62). No I haven't got 84. I only need 2 on page 1, No. 12 and 46, I had put round hotel for 46 but cant remember why

If you have Q63, then look betwen Q60 and Q63! I have been using the AA Road Map which is quite good and contains the answer to Q 61.

For Q12, I made an inspired guess and confirmed it on the Web! It would never appear on any Road Map.

Q46 is not the "Round Hotel" and is probably one of the setter's better clues. It is on the map - 9 miles to the SW of Q45!

In fact, I think that all the hotels will be given as anagrams in capital letters

Yes 45 sounds like a telephone. Re 62 is it the whole of Wisconsin mixed, did you work out 83

Yes - you've got Q46!

In Q62, you need to use only the 3-lettered abbreviation for the state. After that, it's best to try to pick out the answer directly from the map.

In Q83, do both names appear in the answer or only the surname?

Crofter 83 starts with surname, I've finally got 61, but it only showed in one of my atlases, got 62 now, re 76 is it a repeat of 62?, the same question re 53 and 57, does 54 begin with D. Still haven't got 12. back to 83 the first three letters in the anagram appear in the second word of the answer

olivia In Q83, are you saying that MUM (not NUM say)appears in the second word and in that order?

re 83 the second word has 6 letters including MUM, the complete answer has 6 words. Can you confirm that some of the answer appear twice. E.G. 53 and 57. 62 and 76. Still not got 12 or 33. I have been trying to complete the Gazetteer quiz which has to be in this week end, just need the answers to 59 and 95

I thought you hadn't! I only learned about it through chance, but it is very useful for trawling back. It also keeps track of your records - very interesting!
