MM Links October [Week 2]
Good morning to you, my loyal subjects. This is King Grenmus the Great here again to tease you yet again on the general subject of "Sports", although my preambles may not deal specifically with the sport at all. However, this week, I may leave a clue or two!
Helen, our daughter, came down from Newcastle last week to stay for a few days. She sat with Vi when I went to the football matches, but also when I had a cultural day out in Liverpool. Rodin's 'The Kiss' was being displayed at the Tate, so I decided to go down to see it and look at some of the museums too. I took the train to Central Station and, as it was a beautiful day, I pottered about with hands in pockets and had a gentle stroll down to the Albert Dock. A magnificent building thankfully saved from demolition!
The Kiss was in the foyer of the Tate and looked wonderful. They have a major exhibition of Twentieth Century Art ongoing. I was lucky to arrive just as a guided tour was about to start, so was taken round the Figuration Art floor. There was Degas' Ballet Dancer, Picasso's Weeping Woman and Warhol's Chairman Mao amongst the many exhibits. The guide was very good and I looked at some of the works with a new understanding.
Before I went to view the next floor it was time for lunch. The restaurant served a chicken, goat's cheese and Greek salad, which I followed with a lemon tart. Delicious!!

No best answer has yet been selected by Grenmus. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The second floor exhibition was Abstraction, with various themes like 'From Nature', 'Monochrome' and 'Painting to Object'. There were works by Pollock, Moore and a rather disturbing piece by Mona Hatoum - a steel wheelchair with knife blades instead of handles! The Turner Prize is being exhibited from later this month. You need a timed ticket to view it, but I was told 'don't worry' you can book one on the internet. I will be going next time Helen comes down.
I never did get to any of the museums!!
As for the everyday running of MM, I have followed MM convention on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each link word may go in front of, or behind, my chosen word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My second set of four chosen words for linking should appear below at 9.00am - on the dot!
