As I am not sure whether her Ladyship has returned from her travels in New England, I am happy once again to invite you all to pop in.
There is a large selection of tailcocks on the side buffet table and some warm melton mowbrays pies straight from the aga. That should cheer us on a damp and chilly bank holiday weekend.
I feel turnout will be low tonight, so perhaps any donated items could go into a bran tub instead of the non raffle (that should appease the committee-whoever they are)
My small donation is
3 apostle spoons
and a jar of vegemite.
Well gran, that guilty thought had just crossed my mind, I don't want to be in trouble with the Border Agency, I wondered why there was a delay with our luggage at Gatwick.
Bring Celeste in then, I'm sure she will be more than welcome. Forgive me for misunderstanding, it's an age thing. (and the tailcocks don't help the memory)
Thanks Alex My pension will stretch to eating out now and again, I would like a haddock and chips and a curry sauce, I'll help you get going on your bike but you'd better take the gladstone bag to put the fish and chips in.
Nite missmeg have a good trip. I am leaving myself now as I need to sleep - I am sure Einstein will see to the camel when alexander gets back. See you all next week!
Feeling a bit woozy after that camel ride and there dont seem to be many of us left. Chis and fips are in the upper lower dining room, mushy peas in the large tureen. Do I rub the camel down as I do with mladies horses or do camels just stand and sweat?
As long as I'm not called to shovel the poo later. i think they could do with a hose down, they whiff a bit. I'll have my fish and chips in the wrapping paper, and shoot off I have to be up early tomorrow. gooodnight and thanks for the tailcocks etc.
Got to be up early in the morning so I will toddle off to bed, goodnight anyone who is still around, have tethered camel on the lawn so it should keep the grass down(do they eat grass)
Ten minute warning to locking up time, I will have no shennagins about accidentally getting locked in the wine cellar this week or her Ladyship will have the roof from over my head. It has been a very pleasant evening, thankyou one and all. Back in 10 goodnight .
