Last week marked the beginning of the second reign of Lady Slaney II and several entrants benefitted from a healthy harvest of points, so much so that Slaney may attempt to stem the haemorrhage with a suitably applied intellectual tourniquet. I must confess that I began the analysis rather late and completed a first run through with only two minutes to spare. The nett result was the creation of more errors that I care to admit to. Fortunately, Slaney doesn’t trust me and had carried out her very own analysis!

A hasty retreat and a more carefully consideration of entries led me to the following amended League Table:

FOUR POINTS: fordward
TWO POINTS: beejay1124, centrino, cliffyg, Grenmus, Handbaglady, miss meg, owllady, Strix, ulysses100 & wickedtongue
ONE POINT: ChrisHewat, deecee131, Elspeth, Jim, joto, LaneyB, Magyar, Mr Ont-ice, Mrs Ont-ice, patchett & twix123

This is where the second round will begin from. If YOUR score herewith does not meet with your recollection, then “tough”!

Last week saw us visiting Paris as Slaney developed as a life-long Frog-ophile. Where will she go next? Will fordward be able to build on his early lead? To answer these questions (and others) why don’t you turn up tomorrow and launch your very own challenge to top the MM Links Table. Starting at 08.45am, Slaney will declare her four words to be linked at 9.00am. Remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points!

As usual, I ask that you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz ( Roo-land) and is my good friend, “seekeerz”. She is truly the “Wizard-ess of Oz”.

As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” You have nothing to lose. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards to trace progress through each monthly contest.

Until I see you tomorrow, may I wish you ~ “Happy Linking”!

:o)
Evening all. Crofter, your revised abacus still - quite correctly - gives me no points; I must try harder. As a former French teacher I really should have done better last week! Will be late tomorrow as I'm 'doing an evsajo' and going to a car boot sale.
Is there any news of Dustybun, anyone? A few weeks ago she was ill, I believe; do hope she's better.
think Christiana is in touch with her but havn't heard anything
shall be late with my links again so no bonus points for me (again)
will have to try harder to get some points
I can only say it's no surprise I'm still in the dungeon (more commonly referred to as the FFC) ... so perhaps it's time for me to introduce a cunning plan to hurtle me to the top of the leader board tomorrow?
I didn't get any points last week as I forgot to play !!!! The weather forecast is fine for tomorrow so I may be at the Car boot but will try and remember to play later.
Hope everyone is OK after the horrible winds around yesterday.
Did you get mine wrong Crofter...oh no I did!! :-(
Can I share your plan Sarumite? I need one!
Have you all gone to bed?
Good evening all from a wet and windy Kent!

Pauline, it will be another 4 to 5 hours before I wander off to bed.
Hi twix....hope you are okay?
Wet and windy here today. Awful.
Hi Pauline.....all fine here. I got in offf the golf course this morning just as the rain started! Yesterday was worse, the Dartford Bridge was closed due to the high winds, it took me 2 hours to get home from my office which is only 30 miles away round the M25 and which normally only takes 35 to 45 minutes even with the constant roadworks in preparation for the Olympics.
There seems to have been a lot of storm damage.
Hope it's not a sign of things to come again for another bad winter!
hi, I am here, watching TV at the same time !!!
Just think positive about it.....after the forecasters promised a 'barbeque' summer and got it so wrong, don't believe the supposed bad winter!
Let's hope so twix.. I have said that myself this week!

kay...is my room ready yet?
Hi Kay, I'm always watching the tv while on my PC, especially Thursdays through to Sundays when the golf is on. The weather looks good in Singapore today, wish I was out there playing!
I do the same twix...watch tv whilst on computer that is...not watch the golf!
Am playing Scrabble on Facebook too so am backwards and forwards !!! Sorry Pauline room still not quite ready....full of car boot stuff but weather not nice enough for me to do one !!!!
Kay ...are you trying to avoid me?
No honestly not....going to bed now !!!! LOL. No really am going to bed now as last night Murphy had an upset stomach and he was waking me up to go outside about every hour through the night, then at 5 am he got me up again and I walked into the patio door !!!!!! I really was seeing stars !!!! Speak soon....really truly !!! Nite nite allx
