The doors are open, ladies and gentlemen, drinks and nibbles aplenty and a veritable wealth of ruffle prizes due to a rollover or two.

Extras are always welcome.

2011 brings no real change to the rules inasmuch as we do not speak of them except in times of emergency, recently we have self regulated and hope that may continue.

So come in and have a chat.

No, I crash landed my broomstick!
starbucks i hope you don't think i was attacking you on the other thread, i can assure i was not.
i just genuinely could not understand your initial post.
this will be my only post in here (not old enough)
We might be able to give you a few tips there. Have you tried the new semi-automatic ones. If you crash land it makes sure you land softly even if the broomstick doesn't. Don't forget your cushion spells.
It's all in fun lodger, as far as I am concerned. You don't need to be over fifty on this thread, just mad.
DSJ - you poor thing - did it involve step ladders at all? I have a great record against step ladders!
well i have read some of the comments on this thread starbucks..........and we agree on this one lol.
Several people have advised me to invest in a more up to date broomstick and I might take their advice. This crash tonight has really shaken me up!
DSJ - I would invest in a modern alluminium one but they get so cold and clammy in the winter - would have me running to the Ladies more than I do (if that were possible). Mamya - may one have another top up please, my drink is -errrr - evaporating tonight!
You might be able to get a short term loan from LadyAlex if you haven't got enough money for a new broomstick DSJ. She only charges 2000% p.a. interest and takes her time sending round the bailiffs if you don't keep up the payments. With your new broomstick you could make a quick getaway if the worst happens.
Now that's a thought, Starbuckone.
Star - you are on the ball aren't you? I had you down as a genteel retired lady! Welcome to the Club - Mamya, a special tailcock for Star please as she has now realised full potential membership LOL

Yes fresh drinks all round.

DSJ I do hope you had your helmet on.
Oh yes, I was wearing my helmet under my witch's hat. Head's fine, just my back that is troubling me! I've got the chaffeur coming to pick me up. He can put the broomstick in the boot.
Retired, ttfn, but not genteel. DSJ you haven't brought that faulty broomstick with you, have you. It should be in the cellar getting a few more marks on it so that you can get as much from the insurance as possible. I suppose you did have it insured???
Yes, it is insured. Sadly, I don't have witnesses for my accident. I was the first person to turn up here after mamyalynne and she was already inside getting the nibbles ready and the glasses out. I don't think she even heard the crash on the gravel outside.
Show fer what DSJ? Askyourgran and I manage on a tandem - so long as she is up front that is
-- answer removed --
For a small consideration I might be tempted to witness your crash for you. We could go outside and re-create it while I take photographs.
Cheeky beggar - you get in on the 'mad' bit alone. Come to think of it - aren't you therefore a founder member vibes? ;o)
Hello everyone sorry I am late been sweeping the drive as someone crashed a broomstick on it and then I tripped over a firkin in the hall and I dont really know if I am here or not
