Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Taken from my front window this am. Very lovely (from indoors!!)

Dreadful news this morning. Thank goodness it didn't land on a building or Sainsburies.

That link won't open for me!
good morning all. We still have no snow here but a fair share of the frost and ice. Rab did monsters in the garden last night so we all had a nice warm lie in this morning.
helicopter crash...scarey......
hahahaha jno they are hilarious! Glad you are safe, also it isn't anywhere near elephant and Castle is it (where hija lives)???
hang on, where did I see all those horse funnies from jno, thought they were here !!! :-(

Yes lottie that is wonderland, I wish I were there!!!!
Lottie that's beautiful. Its white and sparkly on the roofs here but not picturesque.
Neti the horse funnies are on the previous page.
Its funny I used to live quite close to Battersea heliport and we never thought much about all the helicopters flying overhead, the wealthy of London have used them as taxis for many years.
no snow here (apart from a faint sprinkling of unmelted stuff from two days ago, which hardly compares to the wonders of North Norfolk. In fact it's ncie and sunny.

It's about a mile from E&C, neti, so nearish and she'll probably be seeing more traffic than usual if streets are closed near the crash
Luckily hija has no work today so no panic. When I last lived in LOndon I don't think Helicopters had been invented!!!!
built in 1959 neti

oooh, that's a lotta snow Lottie.
I don't like the heating on all night & I'd been waiting for the bloomin house to warm up before I washed my hair. Very icy, I could do with nipping out but I'm unsure, I don't fancy broken bones either, it's not ideal when you live on your own. I'd hate people in and out all day 'looking after me' such as they do these days. Way too much elf and safety, they drop something and aren't allowed to bend down to pick it up. Have any of you watched that district nurse documentary series? haha, I don't know which century they filmed that but it's nothing like I've witnessed lately.

Thanks for the links about printables woofy, good idea, I might have to buy a new printer cartridge and start manufacturing...Minitat Furnishings :)
And thanks jno for the laughs.

neti I would have read your post re the crash but it wasn't there when I opened this page

Hi All. Sore throat and sneezing again. No school today. Couldn't risk taking it there. Mind you I might have got it from there last week! Going to be really lazy today. Brother now informs me he may be here until Friday but I really don't mind. He just comes and goes how he wants and has a key so all's well. And he plays his guitar at any time of the day. Even this am early. Steady is off somewhere musical with him this morning. Both had guitars in hand. 3 altogether.
What a tragic helicopter crash in London. Very scary for those around the area when they heard it. One lady on the radio says she thought it was a bomb.
I don't have my heating on at night either Robi. I think my bro pressed my gadget while I was out and changed the time as it was 7.30 this morning when it should have been on but it was 4.15 on the gadget. I should have come on at 6.30 ready for when I get moving in the morning.
Neti that's the first time I've used my phone on Answer Bank. I did it very slowly and even then I didn't think it was going to work.
It looks like the day is brightening up a bit now but it is still freezing cold so I'm in for the day ( I did nip to the paper shop). There's some footie on tonight to cheer me up.
Thanks all for your kind comments. This is the first cold I've had this winter.
See yer later 'gater(s) Hope your day goes well.
Well of couse woofy I know they existed but didn't see many of them in Golders Green! My sister was the paymaster at Battersea Power Station and she was one of the last to leave it (obviously she had to pay them all!)
eek, that is a tiny shriek let out by neti as she is clobbered with a miniature pan!

Just you wait my girl!!
did the miniature frying pan have miniature eggs and bacon in it?
I am doing naff all and enjoying it.

Dentist isn't sure which of my teeth is hurting even though he sent little electric shocks into them to check (turned out to be all of them). So he's told me to take 600mg of Ibuprofen and monitor the situation :-(

Sorry to hear you're infectious, Jude, hope it clears up soon.
