Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Lol....guess who also dozed off and missed the last part of Midsomer Murders.
Oight Oight ,sleep toight .
Well its 1 am and Rab is convinced that there are monsters in the garden. He and Shughy have been out there and started to make a noise so I hauled them in and, you guessed it, we are back sleeping on settees.
Honestly woofy, you are worse with the doggies than I am with hija!!!!

Morning all, sorry about the bad typing in my last post, no idea, shall blame the anti b's!! Chest is so much better, hardly a cough all night, but will continue with the pills to ensure that it is gone this time.

I tried to watch Midsomer, but just wasn't interest in it this time, strange cos I usually love it.

Oh well I had better shake a leg!!
Morning. Yes we are going through a bumpy patch at present. Heigh ho. I think the noisy weather isn't helping. I am glad that your are finally getting better. I have Midsomer on video for tonight.
My nice painter man has arrived and the dogs are enjoying supervising.

Morning sleepy heads...bright but very, very breezy here. Very little sleep again because of the wind, lashing rain and bins blowing over and then the road sweeper decided to come at the crack of dawn....tut. I know it has to be done early but they don't come that often any more. The neighbour did fix the gate latch early yesterday but probably not expertly and no doubt it'll fall off again.

Enjoy watching/catching up with Midsomer, it's Jones' last appearance and I really liked him. I know it's not comedy but I do laugh sometimes, terrible I am...Ms McMuffin with a cheese topping :) They're starting filming on new episodes soon. I love Sykes, he's a little star...not quite Eddie in Frasier but very close.

Belated wishes for Mr S's birthday shaney, hope he enjoyed his day.
It would have been my mum's 92nd birthday today and she loved Rodders...she didn't like wind though :)

I actually think that Midsomer is as much comedy as it is anything else. I am glad that its coming back that way, they did have a phase of getting too serious.
a little sun here, a little rain. I am thinking of setting aside 20 minutes to cut my toenails. Went to the Mikado last night, looked lovely, music great but I thought Koko overacted a bit.

Too warm here, everyone sitting in the sun and there's me cringing in the shade! I don't think we will get a winter, getting late!
poor neti... what can I do to help...
no Neti, you are right, that's just too hot.
Question Author
neti's just used that to stir her tea
I wouldn't drink my tea that hot, I always add cold water to it!
Question Author
well was it in direct sun then neti?...not that I'm doubting you at all ahem ...as if.
Err I think you can see it was in the shade, but it's chilly indoors.
Hello all
Busy packing a suitcase as I'm on my way to Netis asap
I think it's hovering around 1C here and the wind is bitter .
Hope everyone is fairly ticketyboo .Nothing of great importance going on here at Shaneytowers .
I love that song Robinia .I didn't know Jones wasn't going to be in Midsomer anymore ....sob .I like Sykes ,he's so comical .

grabs neti by the vest straps
well it could have been hanging in the sun and you might have propped it up there to take it's picture...tinter says you were 18-20C today. As well as Ibiza editor you'd better take over as their frizz forecaster.
Do not believe everything you read on tinter Robi, and as tinter is not here very often or much, just iignore it, have to say it is jolly chilly now and some one has lit a bonfire and the smell is permeating through the house! grrr!
we have 9 deg today and its been windy but sunny. My downstairs loo looks like a little palace, but I can't use it till the paint is dry. Thank the lord for two loo houses!
Hello,

Had an off day yesterday so didn't make an appearance, but have felt better today and been out to lunch again with Mr LL before we did the Morrisons shop. I am hoping this will become a weekly habit. 2 for 1 at the local Marstons 'The Running Horse'. Full of pensioner couples at 2.30 when we went!!! (of which we are one - well I am anyway).

I think my life is going to be an up and downer for the time being until I get sorted out. I could hardly walk around Morrisons. I can't see a physio helping much to be honest.

Have stopped taking one lot of happy pills. Have to wait three days and then start on the other lot!!! (Don't ever read the leaflets that come with pills! - if you do you will never take them). The leaflet with my new happy pills tells me I have to give it to a close family member or friend to read as well, so they know what to expect if I go loopy!!!)

Poor Mr LL, what a lot he is putting up with at the moment.

See you soon xx
