Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Oh PS ..Good luck at the medico tomorrow Neti .
Still rattling here. The boys are sleeping through it which is nice, sometimes the noise worries them then we all go downstairs where it's quieter. I've got a really huge settee that is comfortable to sleep on so I don't mind.
Ladies behave yourselves at the medicos.
Oight oight
Good morning all. Glad the dogs slept through the rattling!

My chest feels fine today no wheezing so feel a fraud going to the medico, I guess it's because I started taking anti b's which I had left over!! Will try to explain it to him.

Another sunny day here. Don't think we'll have a really cold winter, I mean cold outside, it's cold inside!! :-(
good morning, still cold wet and noisy here. Dogs got up, ate their own breakfast and went back to sleep, then I had to put the rubbish out, they woke up, mooched some of my breakfast and are asleep again.
Morning All. Hope you get on alright at the Doctors Neti. I've had aletter from the Drs. to go for a health check and I have to go for a blood test before I go to see the nurse. One of the checks is a fasting glucose one so I've decided Thursday is the day. So nothing to eat ofter 7.00 p.m. tomorrow night. Mind you after all the checks I've had in the last year I'm hoping they don't find anything.
It was a bit windy last night but not bad this morning. Dull and damp that's about all.
I'm off out to meet my Tai Chi friends for lunch. Then when I get back I have to finish my veg freezing. Done the Broc and Carrots just have the brussels now.
I hope you all have a good day....laters 'gaters
right, just finished breakfast, now off to lunch with a friend who's going to live on a Malaysian island and teach English.

Greedy, moi?
I'm back with anti -.b's after a ridiculous inspection, where I had to remove my top, but as I feel fine, no fever, not a lot of snot, he's just given me the pills. Also something else not on the health system, which I must ask sqad about as it will make me drink loads more and thus clear my chest!!!! but can't see why??

Was sitting having a coffee ( I just cannot say just sat having a coffee, hate it!) when I espied to two gays that I met last April, so we chatted and had a laugh, one is a therapist, he was twitching and fidgeting non stop, but with his loopy partner and me gabbing on, I guess he saw loads of problems with us.
answered on your sqad thread. There's loads if you google but as usual, it CAN not does have every side effect under the sun so don't scare yourself. Apparently its pretty effective.

Well that's told her! :) (neti's thread B&S)

A'noon...grey day but it really is milder.
These noisy nights are annoying, creaking and rattling...and that's just me. I'm trying to keep off my feet today, my heel's been giving me gip and was quite swollen last night. I'll see how it goes for a few more days and if there's no improvement I'll have to totter off to the surgery again. :(

Oh no, Jude bought the devil's food to freeze?! Chuck the broc on the compost heap Jude, it's nice and cold out there :)
I did google it but it was in Spanish and much as I can understand it when it is medical it's a tad confusing, thanks xx
oooh hang on, that's another thing, I also have to take ibrofeno 3x a day with the anti bi's why I am not swollen!!
Because you bronchial tubes probably are and the ibuprofen will help to relieve the swelling. Neti, try putting "uk" after whatever it is you are googling. I do that and it gives me the English sites first.

There used to be a UK Pages option on google but not now...or am I missing it somewhere.
I'm having an 'Add to Bag' day but can't get into Debenhams...I must have been banned :)
its gone from my google setup as well Robi. I just add UK to the search term instead.
it's tedious, but when you've got your results listed on Google, you'll get a little menu at the top. Click on Search Tools, then Web, then Pages from the UK

Hello,

I made it to the doctors. Brave aren't I. He looked more gorgeous than ever and looks younger. That deep velvet voice made me feel better straight away. He has been my doc for 21 years since he first started in general practice, bless him.

Well, he has changed my anti 'going round the bend' pills and says the new ones might stop the dreadful nightmares - he is arranging for me to have physiotherapy to get me moving again and I am having blood tests for Celiac disease!! I have also made appointment for my Hypertension blood tests which will then need another appointment for a chat with the nurse. I have an appointment on 18 Feb at the hospital for my Hannibal Lector mouth guard fitting!! I knew I had food intollerances, but the Celiac disease thing came as a bit of a shock.

Rest up Neti. Get Hija to wait on you for a bit when she comes home.

Back later

xxxx
My doc looks very much like Adrian Lukis, but wears glasses now, which makes hi look very much nicer. Ooooh

Cute as a button Lottie. If it is celiac and can be managed, you will feel hugely better. He sounds like a brilliant bloke.
Did I tell you that I went to look at the sea yesterday and the wind was so strong i couldn't get the car door open to go buy a parking ticket. The wind is dreadful here, i don't think we'll be out in the morning.
Not too windy here Woofy, except for me.

I would be quite OK with a celiac diagnosis. I have noticed that I don't tolerate bread or pastry very well, especially pastry. I just accepted that I had IBS, but I have dreadfully puffy eyes which blow up even more. when my IBS type symptoms are bad. Have just read too that celiacs have a tendency towards muscle pains, nerve tremors, depression and anxiety and it all fits. It might rule out fibromyalgia if I am celiac. There are no real tests for fibromyalgia.

I am feeling proud of myself. I did tell the doc I was in a state of panic. He just sits there talking to me leaning back on his swivel chair, with his feet up on the desk. He was wearing cord jeans and a casual shirt today, phwooooarrrrr.
Well done lottie, hope you get sorted, and then feel better, that is an awful lot to be putting up with. No wonder you are not too happy lately.

Not windy here atm, although it has been, but today when I swept the dead leaves from the patio, they stayed off, relief!

Cous cous was delicious, I am rather proud of myself. Mr N loves it but now he had "bubbling insides" well it was his choice, I wanted pizza!!!
