Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

I've seen those cow ears woofy, they're enormous! We gave a lot of old china to charity shops when we cleared our mum's house...now I wish I'd kept some of it. there are still some tea sets at my sister's but more the kind you just look at rather than use which is daft really.
.....erm, no, I don't think the birds around here need that, they cost me enough already. First in the clean bath was robin, I hope he hasn't left his towel in heap. I don't think I'll be buying any baby items from that site either but isn't this beautiful?....

Neti do they give you huge american style portions at all these restaurants? I just imagine a very loud glug one day as Ibiza sinks.
Well the portions are pretty generous, but shock horror, nothing as brash as american food, it's as it comes really.
Blimey woofy we or rather they eat pig and cow ears over here!
Robi, woofy'll knock you up one of those cribs with no trouble!

It did occur to me neti that you could buy a basic cradle and paint/stencil it for far less money. When I had my first I was given a drop side cot that I painted & added transfers and it looked better than the new ones. It's a shame no one has coachbuilt prams any more, not practical I suppose. I had this one in brown (new) and I loved it...

tut.... why do we now get the whole tinypic page instead of just the pic? this site's getting more and more irritating

testing something

yes had a borrowed cot which I painted and I made all new bedding for it and a matching bumper, bought a new mattress, and yes we had a pram similar to that one, but absolutley useless on the non roads that we had over here then! We took hija for a long country walk and she bounced so much I thought she would bounce out of the pram even though she was strapped in, and impossible to wheel on the pavements in the village in the summer, as shops took most of it up with wares and tables and chairs, so she basically slept in it on the balcony and I had a smaller one for going out, mind you had at least three cos the wheels broke over the stoney paths.

Then when she was two, she was out of the pushchairs and walking and used to have reins, well the spanish were horrified, said it was like a dog, but as we had to walk on main roads, and it simply was safer! Then she would ride in a special seat on the back of my motorbike.
Yes tinypic is so annoying now, this site is going to the dogs, ever since I became Ibiza Ed, wonder why!!!!
whoa HOW MUCH?????? I bet its MDF under the paint too....
I use my china, not every day and I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher but I am at that thing of what are you saving it for????

Cow ears take my boys about 10 minutes to polish off. I think i had a bit of a steal at the fair. I paid 12 quid for four perfect sets of soup cup and saucer.
Oight oight all, hope we all get better weather tomorrow, especially me cos I am out early !
golly three posts in a row! Hope you haven't all moved and not mentioned it. We had a proper walk this morning so dogs are exhausted.
Robi, both those tinypic pages look fine to me, just one photo and nowt else.

Well, I am just popping in to point out that the most deeevine ice cream flavour in the history of personkind is undoubtedly Black Doris Plum & Creme Fraiche

http://www.fonterrafoodservices.co.nz/component/ffpr/?view=product&;id=72&manufacture=0

I shall try to send some oozing through your keyboards so you can lap it up.
Good morning and especially to jno! No thank you to the ice cream, I am not fond of flavoured ice cream, a 99 will do me fine! (what a peasant I am).

Hija out all night, so house is already nice and tidy as I did it before going to bed. Sitting in bed now having a cuppa before I get up and go and meet friends for coffee! It's a hard-knock life.........

Hope shaney is OK?

Morning all...bit chilly but we're promised sunshine this afternoon...woo!
slaps on factor 50[i
Had a really crip night's sleep. I'm obviously not getting all my worrying over during daylight hours so my head's decided it'll carry on anyway....tut.

There's nothing wrong with having your ankle snappers on a lead neti, it's better than seeing them almost toddle into the busy road and then listening to the yawping mother trying to blame the child.

Well I'll give the ice cream a try when it gets through the pipeline jno, it does sound tempting, but I have to admit my favourite is good ole fashioned neoplopiton...and I'm into white chocolate ice creams on a stick, the sainsburys ones are lovely....Funny about the tiny pic page.

Hope you're still having a good time...in the warm. No, don't worry your pretty cherubic head about us, we'll cope with the chilblains and frostbite.

Question Author
ps jno, you haven't been sending the queen any dodgy ice cream have you?
Robi!! that would be treason!

Yes I get all the gubbins with tinypic, don't like it!
Question Author
Treason, yes, and jno won't want to see her angelic face looking back at her from the bottom of a bucket. Maybe her maj ate a dodgy kebab, I bet she's really amused that the whole nation knows she's had the runs...but at least we now know she does actually go. Get well soon ma'am.
Morning all
Lovely sunny day,for a change .
Hope you all had a nice Sunday and that the birds are up and washed Robinia.
Don't get them too excited ,or they'll be tapping on your back door wanting shampoo and conditioner :)
I had to entertain Picky for dinner yesterday and then we played cards in the evening and so my Sunday drifted by .
He goes away tomorrow on a contract job so we won't see him for a while .
I had a Dutch style pram with a trolley that folded out from underneath.in navy blue and a pinewood cot
with a cream lacy thing at one end .I can't remember what they were called ,like a sort of curtain .
Woofy I have some odds and ends of very old china cups and saucers if you want them :)
I often look at the stuff I've collected and think ...why ? I've got a china cabinet full of Royal Albert Moss Rose .
It does have sentimental value though as the pattern was only made for export at the time and it was a present to me when I left work in Germany from my colleagues
We rarely use it these days and it's for twelve settings for tea or coffee complete with china napkin rings, candle holders ,teapot ,coffee pot ,cake plates ,milk jug ,sugar basin and even egg cups !
I use Ma in laws Blue Onion pattern for every day .Then I've got all this other blue and white stuff ,willow pattern etc and a collection of antique blue and white jugs, tureens and gravy boats .It all has to be washed or dusted .Then there are all the dog ornaments !
It'll all be on Ebay when I've gone !
Hope you are all Ok today ..I'm off to be chopped and frosted shortly in ash blonde and cinnamon .
Yoohoo Jno ...hope you are well and enjoying yourself ...I love ice cream but these days it doesn't love me :(
Pip pip for now .
Shaney....we could do a china swap! like pen pals only with added bubblewrap.
The sun is out here but its still blooming cold.
I have a great recipe for an icecream esque dessert. You blend up a can of canned pineapple, stir in a put of creme fraiche (can use low fat) then freeze it, either keep stirring it every half hour or so if you just do it in a pot in the freezer or use a churny icecream maker. My sis was very impressed as she likes icecream but watches her fat and calories.....we have been known to finish off a pot of waitrose chocolate ginger icecream between the two of us.
