Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Good morning all, back from our proper walk and all is well. It was supposed to rain but it didn't. Anyway zzzzzz now.
Morning all, half the plaster on the column of the porch has fallen off in the night, bl**dy house is falling down around out ears, and he does nothing, and this is way too big for me to handle!

Had an awful job getting in here today, some "club blinko" keeps popping up everytime I click on a link asking for my mobile number, I've been fooled by this before and they take all the money from mobile phone, drives me mad.
Have to submit earlier than usual cos of this silly blinko thing.

Seems dry outside although the ground is wet, have finished the firewood :-(

Morning all... Welcome home Jude, the weather's not very welcoming is it, very cold and grey?

Sorry 'bout your troubles neti. My oldest son (Ozzy) & his first wife caught ringworm from their persian cat. Shaney and woofy are right, just use gentle products on your skin and anti fungals. Hope it's better soon, it must be a discomfort I'll never know, an advantage of mini bazooms I suppose. The only prob I get from some bras is when that fuzzy bit at the back under the clips makes me itch.
I do know about other discomforts though, went to bed at 9 last night feeling like someone was driving stakes into me....still, I'd better not go on, I don't want anyone cutting me off for being a whinger, haha.

Morning all
That was a flash in the pan yesterday then .Cold and grey again. My joints forecast rain for the end of the week .
I was going out this afternoon with my SiL to visit a friend but she's gone down with an upset tum ( the friend) so we cancelled .
How are your bazooms today Neti ?
Hope you are all OK and welcome back Jude .Hope you had a nice time .
16º and rising tday, getting too warm.

Bazoom looks awful , the mark is so big, and I feel so dirty! Hate this feeling.

Reported c/card to bank so it is cancelled and nothing has been bought on it, but have to wait a week for another one! not that I use it very much at all! Another big relief is that Ryanair actually refunded every € of the flight I did not book with them, I honestly thought it would be a battle, still do not have that lovely sense of relief though atm. I sleep OK and then wake up about 6 and worry worry worry, there is always something (usually to do with hija!)

oooh it's bleak here, it's like the end of November when it goes dark and mizzly. Had a quick toddle to the shops and can't get motivated to do anything now.

Don't be daft neti, of course you're not dirty...it's like nits and other body pests, it just happens. And yes, there's always something to worry about...I felt like a ton of bricks had dropped on me when I opened my eyes this morning...and then I had to wonder for a few minutes what it was I was supposed to be worried about :)
"NITS AND OTHER BODY PESTS????" filth utter filth, I would die if I had all that or any of it! I just feel so dirty, can't help it! so will defo have another bath tonight and knowing me I'll put bleach in it!
Robi, how is Ozzy son, is he walking or not, poor soul.
Question Author
well you'll just have to have a bloomin' sheep dip put outside your door then neti....I was trying to be positive and obviously failed miserably. Are you psychic? I texted Ozzy about an hour ago but he hasn't replied yet. He's on cruches and was hoping to get into work and do some desk jobs this week...so impatient.
You have made me feel better Robi knowing that ringworm is all part and parcel of life and not some disgusting social disease.

Glad ozzy son is coping, hope his wife is still OK too.
Poor Neti
These things only seem to happen to clean people .
It was always the ones at school who had clean hair that caught nits ,like me !
My Mum did her biscuit and I got denitted pdq .I must have walked about stinking of Dettol for days .
It brightened up earlier ,but now it's all grey and misty again .

I've had to put the light on in the kitchen this afternoon.
Just ahd a text from Oz...his xray shows the bones are mending well so hopefully no surgery will be needed. Yes, his wife is fine thanks.
shaney that is actually true, nits do prefer clean hair. neti go a bit easy with the frantic washing, as I said, removing the natural acid mantle of the skin can do more harm than good.

btw.......ahem.......(shuffles feet) I have had a letter published in the BBC homes and antiques magazine!!!!!!
How middle aged home counties is that????

glad to hear that OzzyRobi is doing okay, also mrs OR.
Oh woofy fame indeed and me and Joey Branning in Chat magazine, the youngsters ain't got a chance!
