I don't think that either side was accepting of gay people. Yes Hitler was one for ethnic cleansing but the lives of some ethnic groups in the Uk was no picnic....remember "the No blacks, no jews no dogs" signs in boarding house windows....just because some regimes were worse does not excuse others

As I'm sure I have said several times, history reminds us where we went right, and where we went wrong - that's why Auschwitz is still standing - at least until BLM get around to thinking about it.

We all need our history to give us context - trying to start another Year Zero will end in Rosa Parks being deleted from history as well as Cecil Rhodes.

It's not enough to erase the bits you don't like, you have to be sure that you are erasing the right bits, and leaving the bits that tell you something about where you came from and why you are who and what you are - and that applies to BLM like the rest of us.
