I see this annoying character is getting his second vaccination this week.Given the fact that some care homes have not even been approched for a first vaccination of their residents it seems very unfair this man,who flouted regulations at least once,is now getting preferential treatment.

he sounds seriously unpleasant from the recent biography, emmie "an absent father and violent husband, who punched his wife so hard he broke her nose. Johnson Snr is faithless and a creep: in the parched summer of 1976, he told the family’s two au pairs that the water shortage made washing clothes impossible and therefore they would have to follow the lead set...

It must surely depend on the area you live in and whether the local authority have managed to get their backsides into gear? I know of several places near to where I live that would be ideal for giving the vaccine but are not being used for it. Then again, I don't know if they have actually taken delivery of the vaccines or if the vaccines are ready to be delivered. Lots of things to take into account.
The answer is obvious but surely this shows how disorganised this vaccination programme is,this follows on from the disastrouus Test and trace programme run by the totally inept Dido Harding. We can only hope that given their logistical ability the Army at least can get the job done.Left to government and NHS fat cats I fear it wouldn't be.

Lord Edward Cecil was a white colonial official in Cairo - and wrote The Leisure of an Egyptian Official but not of this one.
The 2nd Boer War had broken out and the army in Egypt was due to be shipped south but they had no money to pay them. 1899. Doughty Ld Cecil went to Barings Brothers ( branch in Cairo) and wrote a personal cheque for £1m.
The Baring asked who wd honour this if it were defaulted and milord replied that it would be honoured by the British Govt. When milor was asked how he knew this would be the case
( punch line coming up) he answered
because my father is prime minister
The givt was Lord Salisburys and his family name was Gascoyne Cecil - Lord Eddie only used the last
