Is Pat Butcher (Pam St Clements) a lesbian in real life? And with Moira Stewart the BBC newsreader? It's a rumour i heard ages ago when at uni but wondered if anyone knew if it was true? What a sad life i lead ;-)

Pam St Clements definitely is, I think her partner is the woman who played Hyacinth Bucket/Hetty wainthropp, her real name escapes me.

Patricia Routledge. As nicola_red said, Pam St Clements is from Lesbia in real life, but I doubt that Moira Stewart is her partner. It wouldn't surprise me if the Patricia Routledge story was a rumour, too.

I don't know her name but this came up in convo with my aunty on Sunday afternoon who said that Pam St.Clements is the feminine half of the relationship.  I will try and find out who her partner is.  If it was Patricia Routledge I think she would have said.

Pam St Clements is a lesbian; I have heard silly rumours about her being the partner of all sorts of different people.  So the answer to the second half of your question is no.

If you had a Pat Butcher down your street just think of how many times you could drop your children off at short notice while you went off shopping. She hardly ever says no does she and if she popped in for a chat while you were cooking tea you could whizz your pinny off and leave her to the tea and have the kids. Brilliant.
