Letter in my local rag a few days ago castigating people that ''Always seemed to be out'' ''They need reporting'' etc.
FGS, people still go to work, still need to shop, still need to take care of others who CANT get out.
And yet...Im starting to feel a little paranoid about it all.
I need to shop (when I get the chance), I need to go to work and I need to visit my sick and housebound mother....

Too many curtain twitchers for my liking!

Anyway, if I'm good enough to travel the length and breadth of the country for work, mixing with all sorts with good habits and none I'm good enough to take a stroll within guidelines without having to answer to anonymous folk on a wee internet backwater.
I only go out to walk the dog...and that's 3 or 4 times a day. First thing, late afternoon, and before bed at midnight. I see people in the park...at a good distance. No one at midnight. Each walk is about 20 minutes. I do no shopping. Do I feel guilty...sometimes a bit.
Aren’t you scared to be out walking at midnight pasta ?
no, I do what's allowed, and if it wasn't allowed, I'd still have to do it or starve. If I see Clarion, I'll give him a wave, though from the other side of the street.

I don't know that there are any real curtain twitchers in my street; I get the impression most are busy on the internet.
No...I just walk through a close or 2. Just houses, and really no one about. Lights on though.
Walked the dog and been to Tesco today ( no I don't feel guilty about it ), up until Friday I was working as normal on furlough now though for at least three weeks.
so sorry to read your sad news JTH...
I am an essential shopper for 5 other households...for friends who are sick and neighbours "at risk " as well as collector of meds and cash from atm machines....I take every precaution to stay safe whilst I am out but it really is a lottery with people around you all the time as not everybody takes heed of social distancing as it should be... I am fine... and exceedingly busy at this time... so NO I do NOT feel guilty at all ..for my friends and neighbours I am their lifeline...
good for you, minty

Well done, minty. I'll be checking if any of my elderly neighbours need anything next time I go to Tesco.
