Gods Will

can any believer in religion please tell me why an almighty, omnipotent god needs people to do his bidding here on earth?
Had a conversation with a couple of JW door knockers a few days ago who were convinced that they were doing gods work, I asked them why he cant do his own work. if he wants me to know about the bible why cant he tell me himself? Its something that ive noticed with others....evangelical christians, mormons etc. Its the same with muslim fanatics who believe that commiting attrocities is doing gods work. If god's got a problem with infidels why cant he sort it himself?
I'd be genuinely interested to hear from anyone who believes that they are doing gods work and tell me why god cant do things for himself.

He has put before us a system that only OUR efforts can make work...
Worship really is profound thanks...if it is forced in any way it loses any value.
It is something we have that Jehovah would like...considering we also are imperfect beings...

With the greatest of respect nailit, you have made a grave error here !
Never, but never engage in conversation with JWs on your doorstep...a complete waste of time. What you need to do is this...tell them you have been "Disfellowshipped"
This is the worse thing that a JW can hear on a doorstep. They will go white as a sheet, reel backwards, turn around and make their way back down your garden path as fast as their little legs will allow them. They have been known to hurdle closed gates faster than Colin Jackson ever did in the Olympics, in their frenzy to get away. Much more importantly, they will never return as your address will be added to their Black List.
For added amusement, you can follow them up to the top of the road, where all JWs gather on a Saturday morning, shouting out DISFELLOWSHIPPED as loudly as possible. Its hard work but you could be saving your local neighbourhood from future visits, and anyway, its great fun ! More fun than secreting a old kipper behind the rear pews in Chapel !

Mikey @ Where do you get your ideas from?
No way will telling a JW you are disfellowshipped make us do what you say!
In fact we generally know where they living anyway.
Jesus did not say that reproach and persecution in themselves lead to happiness, no, he stipulated: happiness results only if a person suffers reproach because of being a follower of Christ (Matthew 5:10, 11)
Ratter All is show you don’t know your Bible.
