Only we humans think we are special, and we have only existed for a few hundred thousand years.
All other organisms have an unaware finite existence.
Even the Universe has a finite existence. So what's the point ?

Nailit, it is the overriding need for absolute and unconditional 'love' that God requires from us that is the sticking point.
God does not love us unconditionally. It is conditional. Conditional on total compliance. That is slavery dressed up as love.
The dear leader in North Korea demands pretty much the same. The only difference is that Jim Jung whatsit can't make the masses feel the way God does.
God dishes out not love but a drug so potent that you can never give it up. That drug may make you 'feel' good but it is a drug to keep you compliant non the less.

Christian slavery differs greatly from what many people think about the subject of slavery. In their minds, being a slave conjures up thoughts of being cruelly dominated, oppressed, and unjustly treated. But God’s inspired Word speaks of slavery that involves willing service to a loving Master.
Jesus said, love for God involves our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. Such love emanates from the heart, involving our feelings, desires, and inmost thoughts, and we fervently desire to please Jehovah. We also love with our mind. Our devotion is not blind; we have come to know Jehovah—his qualities, standards, and purposes. We use our soul, our whole being and the life we possess, to serve and praise him. And we use our strength to that end as well. It is not slavery.
God loves all mankind as John 3 verse 16 tells us "16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."
Pity more people in this world acknowledged the Bible definition of love. If they did, there would be no terrorism, crime, poverty, anger or famine. Man would love his neighbour and hence do no harm in any shape or form.
Racial discrimination and mistreatment of persons simply because of their national background are other problems that prevail because of failure to apply Bible principles.

Knock, knock
Who's there?
Jesus, I want to come in.
What do you want to come in for?
To save you.
To save me from what?
To save you from what I'll do to you if you don't let me in.
