I would ask please, if the following questions were answered, the best that you can, in the order that they are posted. Thanks.
1) God, has always been there, before anything else, God was there, so how long was he there in solitary before he decided to create the Universe and us?
2) Why did God create us, Humans?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.according to Genesis, he created heaven and earth in the beginning, which would imply that he didn't wait any time at all. The question of "what was there before God?" is a tricky one; but non-believers have equal difficulty understanding what was there before the Big Bang that is now said to have created the universe. The answer is the same for both: there wasn't any "then" then, time and space were created simultaneously.
He made humans "so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” That's also from Genesis.
Some don't find these explanations very satisfactory; it's not clear why you'd create someone just to rule over fish. None the less, that's the only reason we're given.

Wow, awesome and very deep questions, Lonnie.
The Bible tells us that God is "from eternity and to eternity"; He existed before time was, which is a fact the human mind cannot comprehend. We are not told in the Bible how many creations, worlds, or universes there may have been- the Genesis account relates to the current earth and its creation. Time, as such, is only related to this universe and is not necessary in a past or future eternity.
Why did God create humans? There may be many answers to this, but the Bible account relates how God had a plan to bring into being a creation that could have a relationship with Him (The Creator). As part of His plan, God will dwell forever with mankind and enjoy each others' presence for the rest of eternity. All those who choose to accept God's terms (faith in Christ) will be included in that world where we shall dwell with Him when 'time shall cease to be'.

Existing before time may be difficult to comprehend, but that's because it's a nonsense statement designed to avoid answering legitimate difficult questions. The reality is that if there's a start to absolute time anywhere, that's when anything starts. Nothing could wait in non-time before time begins. It's comparable to claiming there somewhere north of the north pole.
Why assume humans were part of a plan ? Could be that a universe came into being, and whatever emerged, emerged.

Which God are you referring to?
God was created in the consciousness and the dawn of mankind by mankind.
When the human mind evolved enough to realise he was different to the other animals he needed to make sense of what he understood those differences were.
He looked about himself and saw that his life was pretty pointless and meaningless, as are the other animals, so to compensate he designed a system whereby he had meaning and worth above other animals.
In a relatively short space of time God was created.
He looked up to the sky and could not touch the stars so decided that is where the self made mythical creator lived.
Fast forward many millennia and you have an ingrained belief such that it still persists today. Mainly I think because although we may have become more aware of everything around us and vastly more intelligent we still have pretty pointless and meaningless lives.
God, in all its forms is a man made concept to help cope.

Paraphrasing Thomas Aquinas; The existence or non-existence of God is not demonstrable, therefore it is not possible to ask such questions, but he observed that in the world we can see that all things are changing, nothing in the universe is static, whatever is changing is being changed by something else. If that by which it is changing is itself changed, then it too is being changed by something else. But this chain cannot be infinitely long, so there must be something that causes change without itself changing. This everyone understands to be God.
1) answered 1280 by Thomas Aquinas
and it hasnt changed
I cant remember what the answer is
oh, time is physical and not metaphysical, so didnt exist before He created the world
( he also likened god's view of the future as a time line in suitable thirteenth century language and as a jesuit said -time as a fourth dimension in space! - just add in Einstein's metric, and you have relativity a la 1300! - groovy Baby!)
2) - catechism 1) who made you ? God made me
q. why did God make you a. to love him serve him and ( do something else)
there you are - two answers according to the Church
and no I am not prepared to discuss this further
anything else - ask a Priest - they are on duty today
and it hasnt changed

// Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.
Ludwig Wittgenstein//
hey we havent had one "wot dat den? who he den?" so far today
LW - can I add in since it is Sunday - "entes non multiplicanda sunt praeter necessitatem ?"
reasons should not be multiplied without necessity
Occam's Razor 1400 - kinda 600 y before Wittgenstein sorta says the same thing
(wot fing is dat den?) -o god I am being sucked into the gormless witless ( haha geddit?) comment vortex
er Occam didnt say it about theology but about the profusion of angels in heaven ( his razor cut it down to one) [kind]

And what of those humans who lived before Christ...who are they supposed to have faith in? There must be a load of them residing in limbo...
Just wondering, I don't often give much thought to these things.
