Well I believe everyone is entitled to an opinion but i'm with Zac-Master on this one. I tend to get a headache halfway through Theland's posts. Sorry .
Question Author
I don't post on here to seek endorsement, don't need it.
I enjoy the discussions and seek to understand the reasoning by atheism.
That OK with you?
Yes that's fine with me Theland, in fact could not give a damn either way. Night .
You don’t enjoy the discussions, Theland because you don’t discuss.....your dismissal of Ummmm is proof of that as are so many of your responses to others who respond to your posts...... you simply cannot discuss. Even worse......you are unable to listen.

Does God exist? I was brought up in an Irish Catholic family......I know that God doesn’t exist.

" We are not stupid and can understand evidence when it is presented."
But where is your evidence?
Theland // A universe from nothing? Impossible.
Life from non life? Impossible.
Evolution? Impossible.//

Yet you contend that something more complex than the Universe itself just happened to always exist with no explanation for its origin.

You claim these things are impossible without any evidence.

Evolution is supported by more evidence than any other scientific theory both in the fossil record and genetics. Given the nature of genetics and the fact of natural selection, the process of evolution is self evident.

The claim that small changes are possible through genetic mutations but not a new species is as crazy as saying a small journey can be undertaken by walking but a long journey is impossible no matter how much time is available.
Question Author
Well beso you have been taken in by the evolution hype.
Did I dismiss Ummmm? How, when?
Question Author
That first post by Ummmm was like a summary dismissal.
No attempt to discuss.
I was not discourteous.
Question Author
Gness - Nice to see you back.
A deeply engaging answer by Theland for sure. Didn't address a single point and just spouted the dogma of his unsubstantiated faith.

Of course he is terrified of engaging in a debate because he fears the outcome of applying rationality would result in a lifetime of delusion being demolished.
Question Author
Beso - I will gladly engage in any discussion.
My faith is based on evidence, reason, and logic.
I await for something better than, "we don't know," when discussing the big questions.
Hi Theland. There is no evidence to support your faith ,but there is a multitude of evidence to confirm evolution as a fact.
" My faith is based on evidence, reason, and logic."
If that is true then you should be able to produce your evidence, explain your reasons and give examples of the logical process. Unfortunately you never have.
Theland //Beso - I will gladly engage in any discussion.?

You have never engaged in a discussion. Just as you have avoided in this thread

//I await for something better than, "we don't know," when discussing the big questions.??//

How about engaging on the facts that evolution is clear in the fossil record and an inevitable consequence of sexual reproduction and spontaneous mutation in a world driven by natural selection.

Instead, all you did is accuse me of being "taken in by evolution hype".

You will not engage in rational discussion because intellectually you are a coward.
Question Author
Beso - Coward? No need for name calling.
Let's take things one at a time.
A universe from nothing? How? What is your opinion?
Question Author
Sparkly, Vulcan, let's do this one as a time.
As said to Beso.
Theland, //A universe from nothing? How?//

A creator from nothing? How?
Theland. I have explained previously how the Universe came from nothing and you dismiss my explanation without engaging. Sure I don't have hard evidence because it is not possible to observe the beginning of the universe directly.

Consequently I suggest that we take issues one at a time starting with Evolution for which there is clear evidence.
Question Author
Beso - Go for it. Thanks.
Theland, more importantly, show us the proof that God does exist- which is how life works. And then we can answer.
Coming up with an implausible unlikely explanation and expecting people to prove negatives, is irrational at best.
