So was I when I gave you Isaiah 45.7 - but you didn’t like that bit

That’s a poor example. Locusts. You may as well say an ant has the ability to create - but neither a woman nor an ant has the ability to create the biological process required to reproduce. { it took a designer a spiritual person with supreme knowledge }
Locusts. it go s to show you got to have a designers {GOD}
and that is the creator {GOD} .and with the reproduce power you can not created. and how gave you that power ????. Don t just say it fell out the sky
Theland - // Andy - You have, in effect, just confessed to being ridiculous. //
That's your interpretation, other interpretations are available, I know that is something that does not sit at all well with you, but it's still a fact.
You think I'm ridiculous?
Imagine just how much that bothers me ...

(Back when they thought the earth was flat - that wasn't true either.)
If only you knew the Bible,in ancient times, many people thought that the earth was flat. In the fifth century B.C.E., Greek scientists suggested that it was a sphere. But long before that—in the eighth century B.C.E.—the Bible writer Isaiah referred to “the circle of the earth,” using a word that may also be rendered “sphere.”—Isaiah 40:22;

Not exactly what could be termed ‘back of the net’, Theland.
Locusts, I have read it but it clearly can’t be true because if I read Genesis I find that this almighty God sought in vain for two people who had hidden themselves from him. On a bit further, this omnipotent superbeing confesses his plan went disastrously wrong, and further on still we find he is too weak to defeat chariots made by men. How do you rationalise that, Locusts? Or Theland?

//Fervent Christians have the short straw - living every day with evidence that their 'loving God' is anything but, and saddled with an urgent need to make others see as they do, so they can feel better about themselves.//
A resounding NO to that. I live each day with the evidence that my God is a loving God. I look around the world and I see the evidence that Satan is ruling this world and people are suffering. Yes, JWs suffer as well because we live in this world, but we also have the blessings that others don't have. We still get diseases and die, there are those in some parts of the world who will suffer food shortages and economic difficulties. Some of us are even imprisoned just for believing in Jehovah God, but this does not make us retaliate against the system as others do. No, we know that God is going to remove this wicked system and replace it with a righteous government that will never subjugate its subjects, or subject them to horrific hardships. And no we dont' have a need to Make others see God as we do,but because of our love of God and our neighbour, we would like them to have a hope for the future, one of peace and security, a hope where they can feel better about themselves.
What is your hope for you and your family? Is it better than mine? No! I can look forward to a time, which is not so far off now, when me and my family can live without ever getting sick, ever feeling hungry, never experiencing terrorism or violence, & wondering if I will always have a roof over my head, and my children will enjoy life as children should.
This is what I hope for all mankind, even you!

Good life & Locusts - you are taking an awful long time to learn that whatever you say, it will never satisfy the atheists on here, who use you as an amusing diversion and nothing more.
There is not one single serious enquirer on here, you are wasting your time, wriggling out of the traps they set for you.
They consider themselves clever, and not so for believers.
Ridicule is their game, nothing more.

goodlife - Firstly, if you want to address me, please use my user name which is 'andy-hughes', or my Christian (irony!) name which is 'andy', and not a twtiface handle, since I don't use that media outlet.
Thank you.

Perhaps you should have a word, if Satan is calling the shots in a world that God created, wreaking havoc on mankind which God created in his image, then something is surely wrong somewhere.

That appears not to be happening, since you faith has predicted it more than once, and it failed to occur.
// And no we dont' have a need to Make others see God as we do,but because of our love of God and our neighbour, we would like them to have a hope for the future, one of peace and security, a hope where they can feel better about themselves. //
You don't have a need? Seriously? Then something else is motivating you to constantly preach to anyone who will listen, and indeed to anyone who won't!
// What is your hope for you and your family? Is it better than mine? //
Absolutely, it is about being happy and loving each other, not constantly fretting about other people not believing as I do, or waiting for something that I don't believe will ever come.
// No! I can look forward to a time, which is not so far off now, when me and my family can live without ever getting sick, ever feeling hungry, never experiencing terrorism or violence, & wondering if I will always have a roof over my head, and my children will enjoy life as children should. //
Not so far off now? Got a date for that? Or are you wary, given that previous 'dates' have not panned out.
// This is what I hope for all mankind, even you! //
Even me? Charming! Not that I mind being at the bottom of your list of deserving causes - happily your god doesn't judge like that, just you.
// Now tell me that I have copied and pasted this! //
What do you want a round of applause? I should think I could count on one hand the number of times you have posted an independent thought of your own, and not something regurgitated from your book.
I remain unconvinced by you superior piety - as I am sure you knew I would.
Thank you.
