Called Christmas?
Even as a young evangelical, I never understood why Christians, of whatever flavour, celebrated what is essentialy a mid-winter festival that has jack to do with Jesus?
Nowhere in the Bible is it commanded to celebrate December 25th as the birth of Jesus.
*ALL* Christmas traditions, from a tree to ivy & miseltoe to xmas pudding etc, ALL
have their roots in pre-christian religion revolving around the seasons of the year and nature worship.

I, like a good many other people, enjoy Christmas.
BUT, I recognise it for what it is...a mid winter festival. And despite the name (Christ's Mass) it has nothing to do with Jesus, God or the Bible and neither has any of its 'trimmings'. There are many Bible based organisations that reject Christmas and with good reason if you're a Bible believer (as I once was).
The idea of putting Christ back into Christmas was a Christian saying, back in the day, that I could never get my head around, as Christ was never in Christmas to begin with.

The fact is, I saw that God will not forever tolerate untruth, atheistic, or religious—and those who promote it. He promises: “The [morally and spiritually] upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.” (Proverbs 2:21, 22)
