Where Does God Get His Morals From?

Had a conversation recently with a ''born again'' type
(First conversation with a real life religionist in a while tbh....)

Thankfully only lasted a few minutes (felt like hours...but theres always one)
The usual subject of morals come from.
Atheists have no morals apparently. Or at least no OBJECTIVE morals without God.
I asked whose God?
Allah? Jehovah? Christ? Dionysius? etc.

I then asked where does God (In whatever way you view him/it/her) get THEIR morals from?
Conversation then petered out. (I was late for work anyway so no great loss)
I was in no way provoking an arguement, simply following through a logical discussion with a
question.

If humans need God's guidence to be moral, then where does God get his guidence from?

Jehovah is a middle eastern desert deity/demon.
What on earth has he got to do with western culture?

This being was a desert, animal sacrificing, blood-thirsty, war god.
What is he doing in Europe?
Its an abonimation...just like its priests!

Please give me a definition of what you think a 'moral' is, either absolute or universal, and furthermore, what could it (a man-made concept) possibly have to do with God, whether or not you believe in such an existence ?

A moral is something that we can both agree on!
I think that we can both agree that having ourselves killed, stolen from or having our wives raped by strangers is immoral?

I also think that having people stoned to death for
collecting firewood on a saturday is immoral
Or kids been mauled to death by bears for calling someone 'baldy'
or a woman been stoned to death for not bleading on her wedding night, immoral.

They're HIS rules! It's ridiculous to say that God doesn't have a moral code. He handed down commandments - laws. He is the ultimate arbitrator. Therefore it follows that he must have a yardstick by which to judge. To say otherwise is simply irrational.

They vary for exactly the same reasons that their deities vary - both are man-made and are created and refined to suit the culture they serve.
