" Those who know, will know. Those who dont know will be baffled"
That has always been the case regarding everything, even long before religion was invented.
And how do you know a red heifer hasn't been born during those 2000 years? for most of that time we've not had instant world wide news to report such an unnewsworthy event.
If a red heifer is born is Israel is signifies the 'end of days' and the purification of the world.
The mother is one of five red heifers imported to Israel last year.
fiveleaves; Thanks for your reply. Two questions for you...
1 How do we know that this one is the first?
2 If red cows have been imprted into Israel, is it surprising that a red heifer might have been born? Isn't it a bit cheating, to import red cows - changingthe odds?
Oh dear! This sort of thing is what gets church-going & Christianity a bad name. :(
'Numbers' is, of course in the Torah - or Old Testament, as most people, I hope, would know.
Surely it's irrelevant if we are unsurprised. If the prophecy was the birth of a red cow it has still occurred. Presumably brought about by those hoping to end the world, as foretold.
I advise folk to put on a large bet that the end isn't going to happen now after all.
Atheist, I dont know for sure, but then Israel has not existed for the vast majority of the last 2000 years.
Cheating or not, a truly unblemished red heifer is extraordinary rare .A biological oddity. Just a couple of black hairs would disqualify it. There have been rumours of red heifers in Israel before. Maybe this is the real deal
"Oh dear! This sort of thing is what gets church-going & Christianity a bad name. :"
Jourdain, This is Judaism not Christianity. Yes there is a direct link to Christianity but I dont want to complicate things
Atheist. That is irrelevant. What matters is that the Red Heifer is born in Israel and that it is unblemished. Doesn't matter if it was from important stock
