Louisa, proof that God was an alien wouldn't necessarily destroy faith - because the faithful wouldn't believe it - no matter how much proof was available. Their minds are fixed. I'm quite convinced that if Jesus ever returns, as they expect him to, they won't believe it's him, because he won't be what they're expecting.

Kenny, thanks. So pleased you find it interesting - because it fascinates me. I've studied this subject for years, and I have no doubt that 'God' was a visitor from another planet. It's so obvious to me. I'd tell you more, but it would bore everyone else senseless. However, if you want to ask, then ask away.

Thanks Naomi....if only all contributors on this site were so polite and courteous....

In answer to your question put to me last night (sorry I was out at a restaurant at the time):

I do believe in intelligent species on other planets. The Earth is one planet among an infinite number of planets....billions and billions. It would be crass to assume that only Earth had intelligent species capable of rational thought and clever enough to build flying machines etc. etc.

Somewhere out there are species that are years ahead of us in terms of technology. Consider these space travellers as extra terrestrial versions of Columbus or Drake......exploring new worlds. Or....they've known about us for years....and we're their hobby.....like stick insects in a glass jar.....they observe us and we amuse them.

Was Jesus an alien? To be honest I don't know. He could have been a very good orator. Hitler was the 20th century's greatest orator. That weedy little man with the odd moustache could spellbind an audience with his words and pitch of his voice...usually ending in a crescendo of nationalistic utterings. Powerful orators get on in life. People are generally sheep and follow the flock. The occasional strong character shines out and people flock to him/her. So Jesus could have just been a man.....but a damned good salesman.

Naomi No I have never read any books. In fact I have never ever been to a school in my life. I can neither write or read. So can my views still be considered. But one thing I could not understand. I thought you never believed in GOD. You had long debates on if we can prove Gods existence thread. But now you are saying that you have no doubt that God was an Alien. So you do believe in God. Alien or not alien that is a separate question.

Following are your words from what you said in this same debate.

Kenny, thanks. So pleased you find it interesting - because it fascinates me. I've studied this subject for years, and I have no doubt that 'God' was a visitor from another planet. I would have thought that Winston Churchill was better than Hitler or MLK, and it has nothing to do with any nationalistic ideas from my point of view.

keyplus, I think with great certainty that naomi is well aware of what she has said and where. I also think her views above are quite clear, so no need for clarification, further divulgence perhaps, but that would be out of curiosity rather than to disparage.

Doh...Leg....yet again your lack of intelligence shines through and you resport to playground insults. I was not supporting not condoning the rise of Hitler but using him as an example of the power of an orator.

I have followed your childish threads for some time now, usually on Chatterbank and you have made many enemies. I do not wish to spar with you as I will not lower myself.

You sit on your own in your Canary Isles hideout 24/7 at your computer spouting vitriolic comments that do not take much notice of what is written in front of you but instead make value judgments from your megalomanic personality.

You are entitled to your beliefs as we ...so far....live in a democratic society.

Take a step back sir and look at your life and what you have become.

As mad as a sack of snakes.....
Mirror, mirror,
In my hand.
I'm in Ibiza,
With my head in the sand
Keyplus Ah, so, it's as I suspected. You've never read anything that didn't involve Islam. I'll ignore the sarcasm. I'm accustomed to that now.

Whether your views can be considered or not depends upon whether other people think they're worthy of consideration. Personally, I don't, since you have not investigated or considered other possibilities and are not, therefore, in my opinion, able to make a truly informed decision.

You're putting words into my mouth yet again. I didn't say I believe in your God - I've never said I believe in your God. However, as Octavius rightly says, I know exactly what I said, and I thought I'd made it perfectly clear. Nevertheless for your benefit I will clarify. I believe someone, a man, a being, or a creature, whom you refer to as 'God', came to earth from another planet in the distant past. He wasn't the creator, nor was he supernatural or all-powerful in any way, shape or form - neither was he benign and loving - that's patently obvious. He (or to be more precise 'they', if you count his crew - or 'angels') was simply in possession of highly advanced technology, which wasn't understood by the people on earth at that time. I don't believe he was anything other than mortal.

To illustrate my point further: Imagine if when our astronauts landed on the moon for the first time they had encountered people who were at a stage of civilisation comparable to that on earth thousands of years ago. What would those people think of a spaceship hurtling towards them out of the sky? What would they make of radio, computers, electric lights, moon buggies, or microphones? Magic? Supernatural? Powerful? Frightening? Yes, I think so - in fact jungle tribes on earth in fairly recent years have made the same mistake. I think that's exactly what happened on earth. People saw all these things, and recorded them in the only way they could - and in so doing, transformed this visitor from a more advanced civilisation into the wondrous creature that you still worship today simply because you believe ancient texts written by people who knew no better, to be fact.

I hope that's clearer.

Seafarer Thank you. It's nice of you to say so.
You are changing your words now Naomi - you believed in whatever as God, I know that was not God any way. But you had your doubts. That is a good sign. carry on. As far as my VIEWS are concerned, I am sure people are reading them because I am getting a good number of extremely KNOWLEDGEABLE people are lashing on me. So I must be making some sort of impact.

Any way do you really believe that the American went to Moon. Few people think that was a Hollywood stunt. Why have they not tried again since then, Any thought about that.
Keyplus Where am I changing my words?

I DO NOT believe in your God. OK?

Is that clear?

You're making an impact here because to any intelligent person what you're saying is ridiculous - only you can't see it.

Any way do you really believe that the American went to Moon. Few people think that was a Hollywood stunt. Why have they not tried again since then, Any thought about that.

What do you mean 'why have they not tried again since then?' I believe they've been about six times, so you're rather behind the times.

That's not the point anyway. Since you wanted more information, I was simply trying to clarify my reasons for believing as I do - but you clearly don't understand that either, so never mind.

. So if I do not agree with someone then I am less informed, am I?

I know you do not believe in MY GOD. There is only one God and he is for everyone who believes in him.

I am making in impact because whatever I am saying is ridiculous for Intelligent here.

OK I will change what I say.

1 - I declare that adultery is the most desirable thing a human can get themselves involved in.

2 - Alcoholism should be every where. People who say that the increase in Crime, murders, teen age pregnancies, road accidents, depression, break up of families, unprotected sex, liver & heart disease, incest sex and so on is due to alcohol. These people should be punished, how can they say such a bad thing about our social drinking. That is ridiculous.

3 - People who say that we are in this world for an objective are mad and less intelligent. We all know that we evolved from animals so we should think like an animal. And what an animal need, Food, place to sleep and a partner to have sex with. Live today die tomorrow.

This is what I believe from today onward.

Am I Knowledgeable now? please let me know.

Key - I respect your beliefs. I am firmly of the opinion that all men and women are allowed just that...an opinion. This marvellous site allows us to discuss these opinions rationally. I give short shrift to those who come to my door to convert me to Jehovah or the Mormon church etc.

You may be able to help me on this question....sorry to go off topic a bit here but you are knowledgable on your faith:

The Quran states that people should not harm innocents. Correct? So why do devout fundamentalists kill and maim innocent people i.e. the London bus bombings. Do they follow all of the Quran or just parts of it?
The Quran says: "Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors."

Your average fundamentalist considers that to mean that as Britain is at war with Islamic nations (Iraq, Afghanistan etc) then we as a British people are all fighters against Islam. Therefore we are not considered to be innocent.

Fortunately most Muslims in the world do not see it that way and follow true Islam, peacefully.
