I'm puzzled, please explain.

Let me put this out for discussion. A couple meet, marry, and have 25 years of happiness. The husband dies. After a few years the widow meets, marries, and has a further 25 years of happiness with her 2nd husband. He then dies. The wife has loved both men equally, and they her. In any afterlife, with which one shall she spend eternity? What if she must choose? What becomes of the "rejected" husband? Your thoughts much appreciated in advance.

As for your question, my own limited knowledge based on my religion (you would find out about my religion very soon) it should be something like this,
First and the most important thing to understand is that you and your two ex husbands might not be going to the same destination as if heaven exists so does hell. Few hearts would definitely be broken there when it would be decided that who is going where (on the basis of what they believed and did in this life). You may find that few loved ones of yours were pushed towards the other door so obviously you would be sad but every individual would have his/her own concerns which will overcome most of these emotions. Next stage is when you are in the paradise then you would have whatever you would wish for there. And obviously if your both husbands are there they would have their wishes too. They may have different ideas. So keep that in mind too.
Now you just wait and see the responses from others.

I don't think she will have to choose as all earthly things will pass away. she can be with every one she loved in life as will we all.
If people don't agree with that that is up to them and will not think anything less of them for doing so.
As I believe differently to keyplus God to me is all loving and would not make her choose. If her husbands loved her they would both want to be with her and those they loved as well, and they will be. it is not a question for me of heaven and hell. It is a case of the presences of a loving God where all earthly things are no more and we will be together and that includes animals.
That's just what I think.

I agree Tigerlily, none of us know what does happen when we die, but some appear to know what doesn't happen to us when we die.
The question is for those who believe that people can survive death, if you believe they can then how would that spirit solve the problem.
God help Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Collins, lol.

Everton, you've missed the point. You defend Keyplus's right to believe as he will, but he doesn't afford you, or anyone else, the same courtesy. Like the other people here, you tell us what you think MIGHT happen after death. Keyplus, on the other hand, tells us what IS going to happen, what we NEED to understand, and what we MUST keep in mind. He makes no allowance for you to believe as you will, and gives no credit to any belief other than his own. Although, in truth, no one knows the answers, according to him there is no question that he is right and you are wrong. That's the point I was making.
I was once working quite closely with a Bishop of the LDS Church and this question was put to him regarding his Church's attitude , another family historian had lost her husband in WW2 and had married again in 1950. The Bishop quite clearly told her that in the eyes of his church only the first marriage would be valid in her afterlife!
Might i add, that the LDS church research their family history to enable them to postumously baptise their ancestors into the Church. Some of my own ancestors have been subject to this ceremony but i know they were all non-conformists.

CLEARLY, none of you have heard of the MORMONES (Jesus Christ Later Day Saints). This christian denomination have the answer to all that. They believe that families can go on to eternity together through a procedure they call 'SEALING.' On marriage and children, a mormone couple go to their temple where an ordinance called sealing is performed. This ordinance identifies the family as a unit, before the lord, and the ordinance identifies to heaven (angels at the gates etc.) that the family is bonded for all eternity. They perform this ordinance because the denomination believes that they have 'special' authority (from God to their church founder) to perform this ordinance due to being given the 'Keys' which were held by the prophet Elijah. If you check your bibles you will find that there is mention of sealing keys held by the prophet. This is one of the basis upon which the church claims it is the true church on earth with any direct authority from God ! They hold the secrets of all these type of questions. They also do 'Baptisms for the Dead'. PLEASE DON'T START ME ON THIS ONE!!! You can google them......... Although considered to be loonies and non christians they do seem to have thought all these type of things out.
