Wildwood - and any others who are late arrivals in this situation -
to cut s along story short, Naomi24 and i were contributing to a thread over on the News section. Naomi made a personal observation to which I objected, we batted to and fro for a while, and then she decided to absent herself.
Like many, I think it's a shame for any regular contributor to leave the AB - and I have added my voice to the many who hope she will re-consider.

Good for you Andy.......as you said.... hopefully she will reconsider. Debate is what it's about, without personal comments being strewn about.
I dont get into religious matters as it does cause just that, but if you're happy in what you believe in, believe in it, but dont try to convert others to how you think, is my policy.

It actually takes some guts to bother saying goodbye on this site because you do risk no-one caring enough to say 'don't go'. Also you risk having to read the inevitable snidey arsed 'good riddance'/'oooh are we having a flounce?' sh1te that's in evidence on this thread.
That's the real reason some of you would never risk doing it, so please don't try and kid us that you think such things are childish or beneath your dignity etc.
I thought Naomi was one of the most intelligent and articulate contributors here and it's shame she won't be returning, but it was clear she'd become bored with it all some time ago. I think it happens to us all sooner or later.

as i said on another post, she had made her hunting ground barren and run out of religious people to demean. i know she has had some things to deal with in her personal life, and hopefully this will resolve itself to a happy outcome and she will be back.

Ankou and Sqad - on reflection, I think you both have a point.
i am sad that I have been a part - however unwitting and unintentional - in someone leaving the AB, and as i have said, i do hope Naomi will re-consider and return.
As for becoming bored with the AB - I have never had that problem - on site every single day apart from holidays and illness, since 2000 - and no intention of going anywhere!
