I've got to say, I am just loving what's going on at Manure! Moyes is doing a great job and their aging, average squad is being found out. (£27.5m for Feillaini, anyone?) Over the years, I've grown to detest everything about that lot, from Old Red Nose, through Whiteside, McClair, Robson, Keane, the Nevilles, Scholes, Horseface, Ferdinand, Rooney and all the dodgy decisions that went their way. Although they are still getting 'celebrity' bias with referees ie Rooney's kick last week, the fear factor has disappeared and teams are going there and having a go. I'd just love it if they finish outside the top four and go into the Thursday Night Challenge, or even better, finish 6th or 7th with no Europe at all. Well, fingers crossed and here's hoping!

I thought I saw the word "laugh" in the title of this thread. There's not much laughing goping on here at the moment. Too much Christmas spirit?

Keeper wasn't red carded because Milner was going away from goal when he left his foot in. Man City are fantastic at home, not many teams will get anything there. As for not having played any decent teams yet? Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, Southampton? Result today was a shocker alright, but we'll bounce back!
To be honest, I have only watched full Arsenal matches against United, Everton and City, probably their 3 worse performances. Only one point from those fixtures. Today Arsenal were abysmal. League winning sides don't concede 6 goals. Chelsea will rip them apart next week going off todays performance.
Question Author
Maybe, Arsenal are hot & cold at the moment so who knows? Anyway, up the Villa!
So you're not really a gooner...................you just hate Man Utd. God you must have had a lot of bad times over the last decade or so.
Question Author
What makes you think I'm not a Gooner? Just because I want another team to win?
Because it's obvious from all the above that you get more pleasure from United getting beaten than you do from supporting your own team. Sad really.
Question Author
I wouldn't say more pleasure, just a lot of pleasure.
So surely that shows you are not a true football supporter, just someone who gets pleasure from other people losing. Sounds more like "schoolboy behaviour".
Angie, well said!
Thanks Psybbo.
Question Author
Schoolboy behaviour? Really???? Ask any true Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, or even Leeds fan and they will share the delight. This seems a bit like when we're told we should support all the English clubs in Europe. Absolute garbage! The enemy of my enemy is my friend! I think the people posting who don't get it, are just armchair, plastic fans without the passion.
True fans are just that. They support their own team. Perhaps as was said earlier, you and many other so called football fans could learn something from rugby (and so could many of the footballers themselves).
Question Author
Oh yes, good old rugby. The world of spear tackles, eye gouging, and unseen punches behind the referee's back. Oh, and off the field, drinking games involving urine, semen, and the contents of ashtrays! Yep, you're so right, we should all follow the example of rugby!
er Dave! we cant hear you laughing! lol
With Arsenal losing and Man Utd winning, Dave are you ok?
One swallow, etc, etc
Question Author
Yeah I'm fine. Thanks for your concern. Expected to lose against City. They will win the league. Oh, and Angie, I see no response to the rugby reply?
Your reply actually ignored my point, but then you knew that. My reference to rugby is that players don't berate officials, don't dive and act like prima donnas, and rugby fans don't throw flares, etc and are appreciative of good play from both sides. Football thugs, both on and off the pitch have ruined the beautiful game, but then again, it's traded on that phrase for too long and now is no longer a sport, just a business controlled by TV money. I've been to kids football games (anything from under 8s to under 13s) where the language from parents on the touchline is unbelievable. Oh and one other point, you do need to support other English clubs in the CL, because if English clubs do not get to the quarter finals, semi finals and final on a consistent basis, the top 4 in the league won't qualify, it will only be the top 3.
Question Author
So by your reasoning, we should all support Man City, Manure, and Chelski, so they grow richer and richer if they succeed? Absolute nonsense! We have now, and will always have 4 places, because, like Spain and Germany, it brings in television revenue. You honestly believe UEFA would kick out an English team and replace it with the champions of Luxembourg, or Lichtenstein? Get real Angie.
Read the UEFA rules and then come back to me.
