Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
I've got to say, I am just loving what's going on at Manure! Moyes is doing a great job and their aging, average squad is being found out. (£27.5m for Feillaini, anyone?) Over the years, I've grown to detest everything about that lot, from Old Red Nose, through Whiteside, McClair, Robson, Keane, the Nevilles, Scholes, Horseface, Ferdinand, Rooney and all the dodgy decisions that went their way. Although they are still getting 'celebrity' bias with referees ie Rooney's kick last week, the fear factor has disappeared and teams are going there and having a go. I'd just love it if they finish outside the top four and go into the Thursday Night Challenge, or even better, finish 6th or 7th with no Europe at all. Well, fingers crossed and here's hoping!

I thought I saw the word "laugh" in the title of this thread. There's not much laughing goping on here at the moment. Too much Christmas spirit?

Just checked the stats.
Of the last 5 years semi finalists, 8 were from Spain, 5 from England and 5 from Germany. 18 out of 20. So those Countries Associations get 4 places.
Of England's 5 semi Finalists, Chelsea supplied 2 and Manchester United supplied 2. Without Chelsea and Man Utds places, England would have had just 1 semi finalist, so we would get only 3 places. Which would have meant arsenal's 4th place this year and 2010 they would not have qualified.
So Chelsea and Man Utd have got you into the Champions League 2 times in the last 3 years.

Bored with this now. You say 18 out of 20 semi-finalists were from either Spain, Germany or England which kind of backs up my point. It's all worked out perfectly for UEFA. The three countries with the biggest TV audiences get the cream because they continually get 4 places. This won't change. Anyway, shall we call it a day because it's all getting a bit boring?

Angie - read the thread following your question and you will find your answer. Can't be bothered to go over old ground. As I said, I think this thread has got away from it's original meaning just because Manure fans won't laugh at themselves or take any criticism. All they do is try cheap digs at others in return, rather than seeing the bigger picture. Childish really. Reminds me of being at school - "My dad's bigger than your dad" sort of stuff. Oh well, never mind.
