We are on the brink of the second week in the reign of The Dinky Duke and he is promising to be a little more generous with the points this time around. He has been preparing well in advance, since next week I shall be on the Canary Islands and far away from computers. I soon will be passing over the reins to the more-than-capable hands of gen2, who always does an excellent job! I will be processing your predictions from the moment when the MM Link Game is launched by The Dinky Duke, who will set his four words to be linked tomorrow morning at 9.00am.
This last week has also marked the welcome return of seekeerz from Oz, who is the regular organiser of the international version of this same game (called KM Links). That usually kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! Let's hope for an easier set of Links this week as last week's were a bit obscure. I nearly went with LOUNGE LIZARD, but changed my mind at the last moment!
I am going to keep it brief tonight, because it's the first Friday of the month and that means Quiz Night at the local Cricket Club and it's my turn as Quiz Master.
Me? I'm crofter, Keeper of the Rule Book and Ancient Abacus.
After what has been almost a summer's day, despite I have spent some hours strimming docks, nettles and other nasties, this as first offering bears repeating:
just back from Devon, but ready to party, have brought the cornish beers and somerset ciders home, to drink with you all. Sarumite is away I gather so we will have to cope without him girls
Hi Strix and Jan, hope you had a good time in Devon Jan.
Strix if that is a cryptic clue I am rubbish at them!!!! I am going to put on one of my favourite songs first so fingers crossed, here goes!!!!!
Good evening everybody.
Missed all last weekends fun, I was up in the wilds of West Scotland.
Will have a lot to do to catch up on the links games this month....looking through the posts though I don't think I would have scored anything last week.
wasn't Pauline taking the Marlborough savignon blanc to yours Kay,
Brixham was great on Tuesday, what a great place your daughter lives in, how lucky are you to visit ?
Can't remember Jan as I don't usually drink. Yes Brixham is very nice when it's sunny, My daughter lives overlooking St. Marys Bay which is the other side to the marina, but my son in law actually has his office on the marina as he has a boat chartering business (Plain Sailing) and if you saw The Prince William (pub and carvery) he is 2 doors away from there.
Would you believe when you were there Nicky and family were all on a boat in Portugal so couldn't have met up with you!!
Kay, we went down to the marina, had lunch in that nice little cafe on the front. walked up to the lighthouse took pictures of the many boats. then walked back up hill to the car, well walked off my lunch anyway. Glad you liked the wine, a friend recomended it to me I recomended the Fetzer rose to her, great excuse to try more wine!
Evening all, rather good music to start the evening off. How you feeling Pauline have you had a stiff drink? Glad you enjoyed your holiday Jan, welcome back.
Hows the vertigo Kay?
Just waiting for Alan to come home from the test match at Nottingham.
Laney the vertigo is getting better, but not quite right yet. Jan was it the Breakwater cafe ? Thats a lovely little cafe at the end of the beach where we have had some lovely meals.
