hm, when I put the washing machine on and press start, it whizzes the clothes around like crazy but waits five minutes before the water turns up. Perhaps it's trying to shake the dirt off first.
Oh dear woofy hope you are recovered. Strangencosnyesterday and today Mr N is unwell with tummy and aches and pains. Hope it clears up soon. Me also but I've been muching prunes!
tha's interesting, thanks, woofgang. It hasn't done it to me before but maybe it's within the bounds of normal. There must be a manual around somewhere (or online) I can check.
drizzling here too, neti. It's supposedly going to be "hotter than Ibiza" here tomorrow but that won't be saying much. At least I finally got OH's bank account located, not that there was anything much in it but I need to know.
Very nice weather here now. I accidentally ripped of my toenail and it is so painful. It was half off anyway. Now I can't wear any shoes! Had fingernails done last week for hols and she forgot to gloss them so they now look dull. I bought a shiny top coat which just peeled off and have now broken my thumb nail. On top of that I have a cold sore. Slightly fed up!
ooh, you're in the wars, neti. Everything does happen at once.
Lovely weather here too. I went to an alfresco morning tea at a neighbours' place, and a dozen of us sat in sun in the garden nibbling homemade scones piled with cream and jam. Apparently OH used to attend these get-togethers sometimes, but I was probably asleep and hadn't heard about them.
Spent the day ironing clothes for our hols starting tomorrow
Mr N has put a clothes rail in the van so our clothes can hang. I'll check on occasionally
Train was a nightmare.. all was fine and then I saw a huge black thing fly past and there were many huge really load bangs as lwxcy wires were smashing into the roof which then fell in on us and leccy wires hanging out. The noise was so scary. Then finally a ticket inspector came along and we explained and she got a man in who secured the roof. They didnt understand what had happened until we explained and we were moved to another carriage. all the engineers were waiting on the station as we arrived. And we had to explain what we saw and experienced. It was horrible.
my goodness Neti, you do live a vie assez mouvmentee. Quiet time here, Rab has got 4 bad legs again so he's back on much rest and loads of of pain killers. He's much better tonight than he was last night though. I have got my laptop back and its now all set up again which is lovely. The garden party sounds lovely. We have been able to sit outside in the sun a few times but could really really do with some rain. KBO all
I am going to have to water tomorrow. Rab won't stay settled if I am outside and he can barely stand up and needs help in and oput the door (shallow step) so there was no way I could do anything today....oh and the latest amusement is that I have a pigeon who wants to build a nest in my garage balanced on the power door framework. I need to have the door open for the tumble dryer and do not need the freezer or my head to be poo'ed on so I have put up one of those old fashioned door things made up of couloured plastic strips to discourage her/him.
