Seems you may need to increase the connection speed to the internet. What type of service do you have now?

Or find an ISP that doesn't do bandwidth throttling for streaming at certain times of the day.

I pay plusnet an extra £5 a month so I don't have any bandwidth management on my connection.

Do you know what download speed you're getting at the moment?
Try www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk and, ignoring the "Before you run the speed check" invitation, just click on "Start Speed Test".
If your speed seems lower than you think it should be try resetting your router.
