Washing Machine Stuck On Spin Cycle

its an indesit WIA 111

not had any issue before with this machine

but today, it is stuck on the spin cycle - it just runs through a spin then stops, then when i try to start a wash, the LED for spin comes on and it does it again.
theres no water in it, the clothes are still dry

i have googled but found it all a bit confusing. some of the forums are terrible to navigate and use
I have read that most problems and most fixes are not specific to individual machines or brands, and most have a 'standard fix' or 2

any ideas?

i turn it off at the plug but it just did it again - but i didnt change the dials etc

is there a 'trick' to resetting it or something?

or if anyone knows of a GOOD dedicated forums for this sort of thing let me know

I wd ask the manufacturer's website or the website 'WIKIHOW'. But really if a microchip is awry you need a repair by manufacturer to reset the electronics. And I know it is deeply unhip but what does the manual say in its 'trouble shooting' section? If you have turfed it you can get it from Indesit site. Good luck.
