system restore

i remeber doing some thing to my system restore ages ago and i think i turned it off it somehow is not turned on and not working does anyone know any possiblies of turning it back on i really need it

Right-click My computer and choose Properties
Go to the System Restore tab
Uncheck the box: "Turn off System Restore on all drives"
Click OK

the thing is system restore is not turned off its on , its really confusing me , i think i did something more in deph to it , PLZZZZ A COMPUTOR EXPERT HELP ME!!
