My mums computer is only on dial-up. Quite often I will see she is online on msn. So I'll type Hi to her - but get no reply. Then, more often than not, her msn shuts off. I'll call her & ask why she just shut off without saying hello back. She says she was never on msn!!! Or even on her computer at all. So, I started to ring her if I saw her on msn - & her phone would ring!! Remember she is only on dial-up. What the................? She has never been home, ie: at my place or whereever & her computer shows she's on msn???? She lives alone.
Can someone explain this please?

tell her to change and secure her log-on password as if she's not online somebody else might be signing in with her username and thats why they log off when you send a message!

either that or she's logged on from another PC (eg work or friend) and doesnt want you to know but that's unlikely.

cant think of any other possible reason at all.
