Oh Biddies what can I say, First Kit, it sounds dreadful for you. Don't know how to cheer you. Thinking about you too Neti and your poor head I would go to the Drs. and don't take too many Aspirin. I know they have had a good report but they can have a side effect which you don't want. Shaney all that waiting around can drive you bonkers. I had to have a blood test this am and got there early so I wouldn't have to wait too long. I was second in but they didn't start until I'd been there 1/2 hr. Still that wasn''t as long as you had to wait.
Robi I'm pleased about the hospital report, but i hope your other aches and pains get better soon. A bit brighter this morning innit.
Keep getting those naps Lottie, can't beat dropping off when you feel like it.
Woofy have a great time with your sister. Jno enjoy your trips, I'm a bit envious really but I wish you a great time too.
Hello Dolly hope you are keeping well. Lastly Vinny, I'm off out eating again today, hope you have a good day as well.
I'm going with my sister to meet some friends who lived in the same avenue when we were youngsters right up til we were about 15 and we have all kept in touch.
I hope I haven't missed anybody.
See yer later 'gater(s)!!
Morning all...
Oh Kit, aren't you feeling well? Or is it the weather...or just the damned silly situation you're in at the moment? All three probably. Take care.

Have a good time Jude & woofy. I'm so tired today as I knew I would be but at least I can have a rest when I've done all essentials.
Sorry your improvement was short lived neti, hope you get it sorted soon.

Heck jno, have you packed plenty of spare teeth? It's a long way to come back for the dentist.
I'll carry on filling in my next year's calendar...I've got as far as September & it's all been errr .....pretty much like this really

I'm bracing myself for the great thaw, yay! (for as long as it lasts). What on earth have you done to deserve yet more snow shaney? Hope it warms up for you over the weekend.
The doggies will all be pleased to see some ground at last no doubt but erm, do remember

Morning folks, I went to bed at 3.45 and managed to sleep, I never ususally have any toruble sleeping, it was Mr N and his damned legs!!! He, of course, was totally unaware! Have to tell you and am not boasting but it is ridiculously hot here, people out in shorts, I daren't as legs look like plucked chicken! I am wearing a thin cotton sweatshirt and seat is about right. Took an aspirin in th end last night, now have sore throat thanks to hija!
Kit, I feel so bad for you, I only wish I had a spare room and you would be totally welcome for xmas (we do eat turkey though!) Why don't you speak to the company that is doing the work and insist they pay for a hotel room (I know a nice one in Kungsgaten!) over xmas as this is truly unacceptable!

Lottie and shaney, I do hope you have managed to get some sleep by now.

Jude you are always so upbeat, just like Robi, wish I were in Derby then I could go for walkabouts with you and then EAT!!!!

jno, love the little thomas train, awww! So we will be jnoless for a while next year.. Hope we can learn to live with it! :-(

hello to Vinny and Dolly and woofy, how is Mr woofy coping? Hope he is vastly improved asd I also hope for mr s!

Waves to Dolly!
Afternoon.

Went for a walk this morning with f riend and dog, but it didn't amount to much. I drove into Fakenham as I thought that it would be more clear of snow than round here where ice is packed on top of the snow. In fact, it was awful, Compacted snow and ice on the pavements and in some roads and nowhere was safe. Poor old Meggie got a ten minute walk, but I did play out with her in the garden for a good half hour when we got back. Our grass is still covered in snow which isn't slippy, just crispy.
On the news yesterday it said than 1 in 100 people are prone to problems when taking aspirin. They are saying that the use of low dose aspirin on a daily basis is strong protection against cancer and so the advantages of aspirin far outweight the disadvantages. They are recommending middle age people should take it.

However, they will probably change their minds in another few years.
I used to take aspirin every day on prescription - I think it was to protect against tummy upset from taking some other pill; I didn't ask for it, it was the doctor's idea - then when I got piles and red rashes around my legs last summer the first thing the doc at the walk-in centre said was 'what on earth are you taking aspirin for? Stop it at once' so I did. Tummy is fine. I will take them on flights to avoid DVT but in normal life it seems I am better off without thin blood. The rest of me is fat, so my blood mght as well be.
Mr LL takes aspirin every day for heart reasons and is also prescribed a tablet for protecting his tum from the aspirin. It is normal procedure in our area health authority, but not in others.

Last year didn't they say that taking aspirin before flights was not protect you for DVT. My doctor recommended it to me years ago, but they have reversed their thinking.

It's impossible to keep up.
It causes high blood presure if taken too often :-( just what I need, so will trot back to medico next week as long as it's the right doctor this time!!

Have just heard that my little old lady Cherry (Patrick Campbell's widow) who I visited regularly has just died, such a shock even though she was 83! her mind was as sharp as a needle, but the body was weak. it'll be a blessed relief for the family though and that's not being horrible, cos she could get quite vicious to her daughter at times! Will have to go to the funeral tomorrow., but I won't go to the cemetery as it's a long drive away, and I never go to the wakes for food and drink, just not my scene!

This is her when she was a lot younger! and that's Patrick Campbell!
I can't understand Neti why heart patients are given aspirin if if causes high blood pressure. Weird.

How's the head feeling now? x
Head feels fine again now. No idea why we can/can't take aspirin. I haven't taken it for 50 yrs cos it used to upset my stomach and make me feel so bad, but this time it's miraculous!!!
I have ordered this jumper and some leggings. Don't tell Robinia.

I feel warmer now.(:O)
TUT!
I feel nauseous now :o)
...if I bought that underwear I'd stop, that ad is terrible.

Weeeelllll, I might just be coming round to leggings. (I want some narrow jeans to wear with these boots) I assume jeggings are very stretchy denim? They look ok if worn with long tops & boots...it's the old 80s look with stilettos & puffa jackets that turned them into devilwear. Nice wooly Lottie, I could have gone mad yesterday, the shops are full of lovely soft layering clothes.

Don your colanders, lots of ice falling off roofs round here.

<shuffles off humming a merry toon....gotta keep my upbeat image going, haha>
<<< don yer sunhats, the sun's rays are lethal around here :-) >>>
How strange, I've just been googling Aspirin and it says it lowers BP, the Spanish are strange aren't they????
oh, yes, some nice woollies to wrap up warm in
