Morning all..had a really nasty headache yesterday so I just gave up on everything after lunchtime. As Jude said no snow here, and we don't want any either, but it's hellishly cold. I've got a peculiar ..erm... erection in my birdbath :o)
I can only assume water had been dripping from a nearby shrub and had frozen as it it did so. I'm surprised though as it's only a spindly branch which overhangs...unless of course I had a prowler who happened to have a bit drop off as he passed through...

Lovely pics ladies! I never have my pic taken any more, I'm always the one doing the taking. I've probably never said this before but of all the people's pics I've seen on the entire site, shaney, when she posted one of her with long locks many moons ago, was exactly as I pictured her when we first started chatting (probably in birdy threads). It was quite spooky.

Well my washing dried on airers overnight so now I've got a nice pile of ironing to do...deep joy. Decided I'm not going near any shops today, the last weekend before xmas is manic.

wow Robi, frozen Jaws!!
Hiya possums and blossoms, Agent High Anxiety here, reporting in. I'm so sorry not to be around but I just can't solve this time/energy/2do equation any longer. I've all but turned myself into a bag lady and only go home for showers and sleep so always exhausted and pressed for time. I've organised a small petition to the housing company (if that's the right word?) regarding how and when the rest of the work should be carried out. Sending it off next week and then we'll see.

Big news biddies: http://i56.tinypic.com/2hmmsyg.jpg Nay, I even have three pairs, all of them so neatly knitted I now suspect Shaney is really a knitting machine. She has warned me not to slide about on wooden floors with them:) I may be buying a mobile phone (my first one!) and if I do I'll post a photo of the socks As Seen On Actual Feet.

Very nice photos Shaney and Lottie:D Woofy I saw that as Jaws too. How do we interpret the fact that she posted it after the others had posted their own portraits - is Robi really Jaws? ;-) Ginormous (lol!) hugs back to each and every one of you including husbands - will keep fingers crossed for everyone (Jude did you go back yesterday for new tests). Vinny have a fantastic time in London.

Back later, gotta go wake my Santa Fox up:)

Kit! KBO as Robi would say. I will tell Ceiling Cat to get on the job of getting your building sorted out.
Hi Kit, good to have you with us but I wish with all my heart I could wave a magic wand & make things better for you. Everything's crossed for your petition, there must be at least one person with some common sense? Hang on in there, things have to get better. x Love the festive foxy :o)

lol @ Jaws! After much thought I decided the dripping shrub couldn't be the reason and I've done some googling to find it's not that rare & here's an explanation which must apply to my frozen fin...

"...as the ice freezes fast under supercooled conditions, the surface can get covered except for a small hole. Water expands when it freezes. As freezing continues, the expanding ice under the surface forces the remaining water up through the hole and it freezes around the edge forming a hollow spike. Eventually, the whole thing freezes and the spike is left...."

hmmm, so when it thaws I won't be finding any 'bits' inside it & unlike a kind of reversed Cinderella I'm not going to be seeking out the unfortunate prince, haha
KBO is shaney's saying ...(well Churchill's originally I believe) ..but we seem to have adopted it as our motto :o)
Ceiling Cat, well now you're speaking my language Woofy:D

Have you tried mushrooms Robi...? http://i51.tinypic.com/lz148.jpg

Who's this I found in your sock Jude http://i51.tinypic.com/ogjm7s.png
Nah Robi that's not the explanation, it the Winter \Willy that's been down your way, a relative of Jack Frost, whose been disowned by the family

Get one of these (I'm sure Sahney knows the pattern!)

Hiya Neti, lol@ the blind leading the tit. / Bit much hat on the first one Jude, this is a better crop http://i52.tinypic.com/200w9aq.png (Somebody tell me to stop playing with Johnny)

Wow Sexxxeeeee Deppeeeeee!!
Yes Kit went for another blood test yesterday. Have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for results. So I'm whittling til then but with Biddies help I'm trying not to,
Hope your petition has some effect on the builders.
Have read all about the Samis and am wearing my ring with a lovely feeling..if you get what I mean.
Now I am getting very confused with all the xmas avatars, all red and hats.
