Robi and Lottie, this is a nice gift for boys and men methinks and for everyone actually, I've got one myself too http://www.flickr.com...rtdevegas/2775519289/ It's very heavy (steal) and very pleasant to hold, it's like an antistress egg or you can just enjoy the beauty of it. The shape is called a superellipse and was popularized by Piet Hein who designed this egg and more http://en.wikipedia.o...et_Hein_%28Denmark%29 His superellipse tables are very popular here. I bought my eggs at Danish department store Illum here in Stockholm http://www.illum.eu/cms.ashx but I'm sure lots of sites sell them too. They really are super.

Absolutely freezing here and the paths are like skating rinks .I skated to the High St. though and told a man in the newsagent that if he got up my backside any further in the queue I would try to find room for him in my pocket .Grrrr. I need an anti stress egg .
I left a watering can full of water out and it's frozen solid and split open and my bum nearly freezes to the seat in the downstairs lav..

Oh goody Shaney, have you been there yet? I love Clas Ohlson, gives me the feeling everything can be fixed. About the Santa hats, if you have an editing program, just overlay one of your own photos with for instance this hat http://i51.tinypic.com/ilyd7s.png or some other clipart hat, there are plenty online if you google santa hat and tell Google you want clipart results. Photoscape is a good, free editing program. Or use this http://i53.tinypic.com/2njyadt.png :)

I haven't been to Ohlsons yet Kit but Picky has .Anywhere that is full of nuts ,bolts ,tools and all things to do with cars ,bikes ,electrics,plumbing etc draws him in like a magnet .
Ooh Kit very nice. I don't want to flash my ugly mug all over AB though .I haven't a clue how to edit photos . I did try and put a santa hat onto a photo of Shaney but it was a complete disaster.

They had santa hats in Wilkinsons yesterday Jude and I stood there dithering .I thought about buying one to wear in bed it's so bloody cold :) I'd look a bit like Wee Willie Winkie though .

My eyes are blurry, don't know if I'll be doing any more tonight. Has anyone got that fab one of Vinny where he's sitting by the harbour; I've always thought it may be Ilfracombe. I haven't got the original, just an edit you made Robi but the original would be better to work with (and the darn hippie is already wearing hats on most photos that might otherwise have worked:)

Daughter's flight to Barca was delayed for 80 mins due to the adverse wether conditions, and I was so worried that she wouldn't make the last airport bus to the hotel, but she's just done it. Phew that is a relief, cos 10mins in a bus is ages when walking! I was in bed with thick pjs, matalan "keep feet warm" socks, and wristwarmers,and long dressing gown, but Mr N wanted to sleep so I have come into the lounge and have ignited (lit, lighted???) the gas fire, oh lully and warm now, socks are off, wristwarmers are off and dressing gown is off!

I just can't get my feet warm Shaney even in the house and I have woolly socks on as well. Think I'll have to buy some of those Uggies or whatever they're called.

It's soooo cold here .They reckon it's Minus 14. I've got woolly tights ,trousers ,Ugg slippers,vest ,jumper and fleece jacket thingy on and am still cold in spite of the heating on .This old kitchen does get a bit draughty though ,down the chimbley .I'll have to stuff something up it .
Those cheap Ugg type slippers are great Jude .I wear mine all the time indoors .
What a worry for you worry Neti .I hope she gets checked in Ok then you can have a peaceful night .
I'm just going to do a bit more of my crosswords and then I think I'll turn in .
