I take it neti is having a traditional Catalan Christmas...

Had to copy and paste that jno as it wouldn't open. Yes I knew it would be the s h i t t e r . i was gobsmacked when my daughter at four came home with a colouring of the Nativity and there he was squatting away, with a pile beneath him. I was horrified, and still do not know why to this day.

We are going in tonight to see the belen and I honestly can't say that I've noticed one in the past in Ibiza town

Mr N has bought his traditional rollmops and I've just eaten a plate of prawn and soy sauce which I love!

Evenin all..
is yoghurt the new trifle? Cos that's all our co-op have got, tut...and not a swede in sight either. Crap-Op. Don't know why I'm bothering to buy much actually & they're open again on Boxing day.

Nope neti, can't see Baz on the lav but I've got a funny book of 'blackboard blunders' for my sister & I've been having a sneaky peek. One of the first was

"When PC Handley visited he had a helmet and a smart white sh1t"

some more

"In the field near our house they think they have found the remains of a Roman fart"

"The Easter game of egg rolling started in debenhams and cornwall"

"The three gods in my project are the king of gods - Zews, the messenger of the gods - Hermes, and the god of war - Arse*
*(just in case - 4rse)

all done here too, turkey thawing in the dining room (kept cool for my orchids)
A mate of mine had a huge house extension built quite a few years ago now and the building included anew kitchen and was going on over christmas. The turkey wouldn't that as the lashed up kitchen was so cold so every evening they would bring it into the only warm room (living room) and have it sat there while they watched TV.....they actually named it!!
Evening Everybiddy. My faith in human nature has been restored today. Went shopping in the Co-op. Got to the checkout and hadn't got my purse. Thought I'd left it at my sister's so rang her but not there. Went to an assistant and asked if anybody had handed one in and he said yes and when he checked..... it was mine. Then an assistant came and told me he was still in the store and pointed him out to me. I was in a state but managed to keep myself together and go and thank him so much and when I offered him a few 'bob' he wouldn't accept it so I put it in his lady friends pocket and gave him a hug. He found it by the baskets just outside the door. I was so lucky.all my cards were in it as well. So I said a silent prayer to whoever is looking after me.
A lovely photo of your island Neti. I hope all goes well for your daughter. I remember when they first started those tests I had atypical cells and had to go back every 3 months for a year or 2 and then they said I needn't go back again.
Have a good relaxing week with your Mr L......Lottie...and a great Christmas.
That goes for all my Biddyfriends and Hippyfriend. Thankyou all for your company and support in 2010. You're great and I'm so pleased to have met you. I wish I could meet you in real life.
See yer later 'gater(s)
aaaaggghhhh YOGHURT that's what I meant to get at Sainsbury's.

Bah. Another trip tomorrow, then. All I got was crisps and dips and stuff (to celebrate my mysteriously losing half a stone over the last month).

Thanks for the reminder, Robi.

Lucky you, Jude, but that's what happens to nice people; what goes around comes around.
Can I just bang my head against someones frozen turkey .I have so much steam to let off it'll soon thaw :)
Two hours at the hospital where they stuck a thing up Mr S's winkle ,had a look round and put him on a list for a prostate op as soon as he comes off the warfarin .Then sent the poor bugger home with a bag as there was nobody on duty to refit his catheter. So I've had to ring the DN to come and sort it out hopefully tomorrow .
I was going shopping this evening but can't be bothered now so will have to turn out early tomorrow for a few last minute things for myself and my neighbour, bread and stuff .

That was lucky for you Jude ,someone's watching over you .
Lovely piccie Neti .Wish it was like that here ! It's freezing cold and a biting east wind out there . I do hope everything will be Ok for your daughter .
I'm going to pour myself a stiff drink .
Toodlepip for now xx

Just wanted to send you a quick hug Shaney. What an unpleasant day! Have one for me why don't you?
Evenin' all. Plastic partly down. Partly not. Swedie partly relieved. Phew, good thing I decided not to go down south for Christmas, I would have been stuck on a train station or at an airport, it's chaotic. Never seen so much snow in all my life and yes Lottie I'm not surprised if this is the coldest winter ever in Stockholm - it certainly is the coldest in my life. Up north it gets much colder but the air is dry there so they say it doesn't feel very cold at all; northerners shiver more and more with cold the farther south in the country they travel. Where in Stockholm did Mr LL stay, does he remember? /You are so correct about my home feeling alien to me - couldn't have phrased it better myself. I was wondering just the other day if it will ever feel like home again - there have been too many renovations, all of them upsetting (2004, 2006, 2010.) These past few weeks I have for the first time ever in my whole life been longing to live in the country. I'm obviously not well;-)

lol@ the Roman fart (what was it really? cart?)

Aww thank YOU Jude. Was thinking of you today, I was browsing through Vanity Fair where Patti Smith interviews Johnny Depp! And there's an article about Jackie O's years as an editor with Doubleday, might be interesting too.

...and yes hugs for Shaney xxx
Kit, Roman fort, I expect.

Poor Shaney... and poorer Mr S, that sounds a bit gruesome.

Waiting at home all day for various computer doodads to upgrade ourselves. Some didn't turn up; one that did turned out to be a totally unnecessary screen that I'd ordered by mistake. Bah. Plus I ordered Joanna Lumley on the Nile in the wake of our own trip to Nubia, only to find ITV are rescreening it next week anyway and I could have saved, I don't know, £5 or something. Fortunately I got two more bottles of Baileys at the airport for £20, and now have enough to last the entire winter and possibly until the Olympics.
So sorry for Mr. S Shaney. Just hope the DN definitely comes tomorrow to help him.

Thank you for that Kit. Love the picture. I'm not an avid magazine reader but I think I will have to treat myself to Vanity Fare..
I'm glad the plastics coming done at least for a while.
I'm off to my bed now so I'll say Goodnight and sleep tight. xx

good morning all. Shaney, tubes and pipes are a pee po belly bum and so are hospitals...honestly i think it would be worth the money to but someone like Phillip Rose and put them in charge of the NHS. There is plenty of good will there but booger all common sense or customer respect.
Anyway tis finally christmas eve...have we all been good this year?
