Could anybody on answerbank help me please,I have a six plug connector for my Dell Dimension 9150 Desktop computer, printer etc.
My question is what amp of fuse should I have in my plug that operates the Dell Tower,I have a 5 amp at the moment but when I put this switch on that operates the tower I get a small blue flash from the socket, and wonder if the whole connector is faulty or I have too low a fuse.
The tower still works as the connector has a red lght at the end of the socket, and the toer is still working.

Thankyou for any help.

When you refer to a switch is this switch part of the 6-way block or the switch on your computer?
Do you see flashes when you switch anything else?
Question Author
scotman, the switch is on the six way block,no other flashes occur.
The fuse that came with it is the correct rating and shouldn't be tampered with. Your problem appears to be a faulty switch on the block...or a loose wire in the corresponding plug, and if you have changed the fuse you should replace it with the correct one,as what you described could be a fire hazard! Get it checked out,and repair/replace the faulty unit/plug to save yourself further anxiety!
