Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Morning all
Cloudy out there but not too bad I suppose .Hopefully it'll brighten up.
They always make me laugh with " beneficial to arthritis" as if it's a miracle cure brought on by the weather.
Must dash as it's wig cutting day and I'm behind schedule .For dash, read totter:)
good morning all, we get the atmosphericals here too. Does my head and the TV in, sometimes the dogs notice, sometimes not. It smells quite fresh here this morning...I suppose I had better stir myself
nice day, we will be lunching with jno jnr by the (newly respectable) canal.
sat here with my head spinning. I have just stashed my sourdough cultures into lock and lock boxes to store in the fridge (they normally sit in imposing Le Creuset pots on a shelf) They were all brimming with alcohol and I got a few lungs full as I tipped the rest down the sink and set the pots to soak. Seriously dizzy making.
Good afternoon Biddy friends. Lovely day here. Getting cracking this week again. Decorator is painting my front bedroom (mine) and the back bedroom is full if stuff, all except the bed from mine). I've been in ththe back garden and done the lawn and the edges and tidied up everywhere.
Tomorrow it's Tai Chi and lunch, and Steady may come and cut. A couple of the bushes for me in the back garden. Wednesday, hopefully able to get every thing tidy upstairs. Then school later. Thursday off to meet cousins in Ashbourne for afternoon tea and a chat. It's our usual meet us once a year when they come on holiday for cycle rides round the Peak. Then it's off to Brighton by train to a housewarming/birthday party with friends.
I have to say I've taken more paracetamol in the last month than I've taken for years but the after op feelings are now gone and I can do things now a lot easier than before.

Have any of you been to Winchester for and few days? Me and friend are thinking of looking for another City to visit. Any ideas. I've been to Lincoln, Chester and Coventry.
Shaney hope you're 'tottering' - bit quicker, and your leg is improving.
Hope all the rest of you are ok and enjoying the sunshine.
Winchester is lovely Jude.My old schoolfriend lives there and I've been there several times. The cathedral is well worth a visit .Jane Austen's house,King Arthur's round table in the castle.Good shopping and eateries.Alresford is nearby, lovely litle market town and you can do a trip on the Watercress railway line and see the Fulling Mill.

I actually drove to San Carlos to buy a tower fan, its the furthest I've driven in months. It where hija used to go to school. I rarely drive these days. Have just had a siesta can't cope these days without one. Trying to think what to get for donner. Poor Mr N went to work at 6am today he's not like Gino. If he promises a time he does it. He even fitted a loo on a Sunday. He's very efficient.
Shorts on today that hot it's been. I look like a bean pole but I don't care I'm really comfy. Going to give my grass a bit of a watering now.

Thanks for telling me about Winchester Shaney it sounds lovely I really want to go NOW!!

Decorator half way through doing my bedroom not long now before it's all sorted.
Hope tomorrow is as lovely as today. Have a goodnight all.
warning, you have to pay to get into Winchester cathedral these days. It's obviously full of itself since it made the top 20.
Ooh last time I went it was free although I always put something in the boxes in these places.
Lovely cathedral though and the Anthony Gormley statue in the crypt is worth a look. You can spend a whole day wandering around it Jude and The Deanery and the gardens are nice too.
I just watched Reg.It was very good, bit of a tear jerker .I hope he and the rest of these families get some answers when they publish the report.
I'm off to bed full of the excitement ahead in the morning ,when after nearly four months of stinking you out I'm having a bath ...haha.
Night all.
Thanks Jno. We always had to pay in York. Think it was about £9 this year but the ticket can be used for 12 months. Senior Citizens and all that!

Good morning biddies. Have been pottering, tidying up, ironing etc until I leave for the hospital (kidneys this time!)
Hope you enjoy your bath shaney, I have one every night water permitting. Soon it will be too hot so it'll be several showers a day!
Morning...bit cloudy at the moment. I slept well considering I was eating biscuits in bed last night and woke in a load of crumbs. Still feel tired though, I don't seem to come alive until about 11 these days. I'm turning into my mum.

Good luck at the hospital neti.
Shaney enjoy your wallowing but don't stay in there too long or you'll be a sultana :)

On the way there I was squashed on the seat by an obnoxious man who insisted he had manky feet and had to stick them in the aisle. He leaned on me all the way was awful. I kept trying to shift and poke him. He knew what he was doing! When he left I said gillypolla (the w****r word). Then blow me on the return bus back there he was again. But I sat on my own.
Lol Neti ..Gillypolla .i've made a note of that:)
Glad you got on Ok at the hospital. I had my bath and oooh it was lovely.I wallowed in it for ages.I looked like a currant Robinia .Went to clinic and they picked crud off and bandaged it up again. So same old and four more appts. At this rate I'll still be going there at Christmas .
Lovely day here though and the rotatry dryer arrived and is up and whizzing around .
