Electricity In Dubai?
Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

I am now blonde and tanned again, but nowhere in Donatella's league, I go for more natural.
We are off to the North of the island for lunch in a little shaded (nearly put shady!!) restaurant under the trees and really nice but gets very busy so we are going early. And yes Robi most likely whole grilled squid on the menu!
Just received a picky of hija diving from the private yacht, what a life eh? (I hate yachts and boats and hate (can't do it) diving! I shouldn't live here should I?)

Then I jumped in pool and swam (3ft) to the lilo and blow me there was a live cockroach on it. I jumped outbof pool naked and grabbed the net and knocked it off into the water, luckily the pumps were on so it got swept away onto the filter basket. I swam around gingerly in case it came shooting out again bit seems ok.

Lovely day here ,bit stuffy but there's a bit of breeze got up now which will cool things down hopefully.
Picky was here and the new shed is up ..hooray.
All the lumber gone from the patio .Still a lot of work to do though.More ivy still to decimate and some scrubby conifers to get rid of. We're trying to make it easier to manage and have a patch for some easy to grow veg which I expect will be runner beans.

I like sushi and olives (not together) but squid is a huge no no, also tofu. Tofu and soya milk used to be said to be good for menopause symptoms but to me they taste like pond stuff. I figure that my body CANNOT want me to eat anything that tastes so bad. I prefer steak and chips.
My garden needs a good go around with weedkiller to get the weeds out which are growing in and round my shed base. Need a still day though as its right by my pond and the tortoise pen so need to totally avoid drift. veg will be very poor this year I think as spring was so late

Morning all...well done Andy, a well deserved win. No more tennis :( and the weather's crip. I'm going slightly mad now. It was a wild 'n windy night and it's just started to rain. Today could be the day I start online food shopping.
I haven't knowingly killed anything lately but I have released a couple of moths back into the wild and some leggy spiders in the outside lav would probably enjoy a trip to Ibiza.

Morning all. Went to village early to get to PO before it got too busy. Then met a friend of gbf who brought some Reece's choc/peanut bars from UK as he'd read on my FB page that I love them. Yes I am that shallow and yes am going to say I like handbags next!
I sprayed a prayed the wapps area and there was still a lot. Think I got themy all now. I wore a long kimono and a wrap around head and shoulders fo protectoon. I looked like the Virgin Mary!

Raining,brightening up on the horizov though .Mad dash to get the washing in.It can stay in now .I wish we could have some steady weather for a while instead of this no two days alike stuff.
That's the only thing I don't like about the warm weather .Creepy crawlies,flies and stinging things .
Last night as I lay in bed reading my book a cockchafer dropped on it .I screamed like a wimp,leapt (hahaa) out of bed and flapped about with a towel .I think it went out of the window in the end.
Unless it's hiding behind the curtains waiting to jump out on me again tonight :)

Hi all. Yes it's really me. This post is not going to be all about my health, only to say I haven't forgotten you and thanks for your thoughts and I'm on the mend.
This week is housework and the usual Tai chi and school. The tennis and football got me feeling better would be believe. Probably only 2 more weeks then break up for the lovely sunny Summer I'm hoping for.
Really hoping you're all ok and are keeping BO like you do. It's pouring with rain every now and again here so no gardening today but it is watering my plants which I managed to get potted a few weeks ago. See you soon BiddyFriends everywhere.
