Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Hello all
It's been a nice day here not a drop of rain although it was promised. It did cloud up around teatime but we escaped the thunderstorms unlike the west of the county where there was flooding .
Sorry to hear about poor Ozzy Robinia.I bet it's painful .They are a worry no matter how old they are.I hope he feels better soon .
As for you Neti ,go to the mexico asap ,stop gadding about on ladders forthwith and take it easy .Hope it's something and nothing.
Could be muscular .Sometimes you don't realise you've wrenched yourself until it starts to hurt.
No exciting news here so I'll say night all.
shaney is supposed to have posed but I can’t see it.....
oh there you are Shaney! Sis in the midlands got the weather big time but we didn’t down here.
Hi Woofy ..I'm in a time warp .Haha.
I posted that at 23.00. G'night again.
am totally porked out after that BBQ. I plan to resume eating on Wednesday. Sis has a vast new Mercedes SUV so they seem to be doing all right, but we have offered them a tent on our lawn if it all goes pear shaped. Currently howeve the only pear shape is mine.

Good morning all. What a night, full of strange (even for me) dreams.
Hope Ozzy is ok Robinia.
Well what about Casualty then. When I finally worked out what was going to happen, I was shouting at the screen but they couldn't hear me.
Morning all
Cooler and cloudy .We may get some rain then again we might not .
Hope you're all ok.How's your chest Neti ?

Couldnt mention it earlier as i was still half asleep. Have taken another anti bio, fingers crossed, but still feels bronchial but not as bad, i was worried all night about something serious but am back to my normal carefree (haha) self.
Morning....dull and muggy. Yesterday was miz all day, dark, rain and a short lived thunderstorm in the afternoon. No BBQs here. I don't eat pork as a rule but we had a hog roast at the recent occasion and it was lovely.

I spent a lot of it watching tv, Dalziel and Pascoe (good one, Michael Kitchen was in it. I'd seen it before so I knew the line where he was nailed. I love his expressions and sarcasm)

Hope you're feeling better neti. Yes Casualty was good... well, mostly. I don't like Duffy and I wouldn't miss Connie and Jacob. I was so pleased Ethan was ok. I'm way too involved, I know :)

Oh, looks like the sun's appearing...
I didn't really have pork, just steak, lamb cutlets, chicken, lots of veg, followed by fruit, a choc cake with raspberries and blueberries on top arranged like a Union Jack (in honour of sis's new country) and a lot of wine. The only pig present was me.

Hope Ozzy's hand is okay, Robinia.
Good whenever it is.....we got up early because the dogs wanted breakfast early then we went back to sleep then I had breakfast. Since then I have been cleaning...chasing cobwebs, moving furniture, dusting UNDER ornaments. Its nice now its done but I didn’t enjoy it enough to make a habit of it.
golly Jno, even Shughy can’t eat like that! I am well impressed.

Oh yes, Robinia, Ethan was my first thought! I love curmudgeon Dylan!!
I've realised that I dislike bbqs. Can't have them here as it's against the law if you do notbhaveba chimney BBQ and are 50m from a tree so am quite pleased. Always go to them in UK and it's hot (usually) uncomfortable no shade and ikky food, hamburgers, chicken and warm salad. No thank you

Whereas we have just been to a beach bar in the shade and had salad and goats cheese in filo pastry with tomato jam and oh yes a sneaky hamburger but a real one. Shandies and ice cream. Been for a swim and now in cool bedroom.
Morning all
Nice day and cooler after a hefty downpour yesterday afternoon.
Looks set fair for the rest of the week too and not so as hot as it has been.
I've been watching the old Dalziel and Pascoes Robinia.Such a shame he's gone.I love Fat Andy and his cheeky grin.I watched that new series on ITV last night,Victoria. Rufus Sewell was good as Lord Melbourne.I like a costume drama.
Hope you're all ok .

Good day. I am abed, feel dizzy and didnt sleep at all well last night and that just is not me. Think I've o'd on the anti bios. chest still awful.
on the brightside we have found a free tv app so we can watch everything and anything our hearts desire.
Was Victoria worth watching?
Hope you are all ok. Now I know what Robi goes through not being able to sleep, I did manage half hour naps but awake most of the night. dont like it!!
quite mild out there. Maybe I will stand on a chair in the garden and listen to the carnival this afternoon. It's several miles away, but the sound systems they use can fell trees in China so that's no obstacle.
warm and sticky again here but not so bad as it has been. I enjoyed the Dalziel and Pascoes too....watched the rehashed comedies and saved Victoria....rehashed comedies not worth watching! No rain here either, will need to wander round with the hose again later.
I thought it was good Neti .Bit of poetic licence and the big scenery is obviously computer generated such as the exterior shots of Buck House and Westminister Abbey ,Horseguards etc .Last night revolved around her coming to the throne and the machinations of her mother and Sir John Conroy , the Lady Flora Hastings debacle and the governess Lehzen pulling the strings in the background. You also get the staff selling her used gloves and the ends of the beeswax candles as a perk then using tallow which stank and dripped everywhere at a ball.Bit Upstairs Downstairs /Downton stylee.Lavish costumes .
Lovely day here .Apparently there was flash flooding here yesterday The drains couldn't cope with the downpour and some people were flooded.
Good morning all, good start to the day here, its much cooler and quite pleasant. Had to get up early because its bin day but the garage is looking much emptier which is a pleasant change. I have sourced a decent box to hibernate Heidi in as hers collapsed last year and I found her halfway out of the back very near to the sharp screws and staples that had held the back panel on. We are now enjoying an elevenses breakfast.
