Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Morning...cool and cloudy, it's probably going to be a domestic day... deep joyload.

Oh what a louse shaney. I was only talking about unreliable gardeners yesterday. What is it with them? They've got plenty of ways of communication but they never use them unless they actually turn up and then they spend half the *** time on their mobiles. That said, my tree man and his team are brilliant, they've never let me down, they do a great job (at a price of course). I wish I could afford to have them do a lot more. I hope that if the boss retires his second-in-command takes over.

Well here we is, the last day of August. All downhill now :( I need at least another two months of summer, not too hot. I noticed there were cleared shelves in the shops yesterday which can only mean one thing...

Grr i WILL get another 2 months of summer and i really really dont need it. All I can hope for is a really cold winter, that would cheer me up no end!

Its really odd here today, like someone has flicked the switch that says “Autumn” its much cooler and cloudy, still a bit sticky but nowhere near as horrible. At sea when we had no Aircon, a change like this was known as Good Sleeping Weather and people used to turn in early to catch up on sleep missed when it was just too hot to be in your cabin. On the cargo ships you could open the windows, doors and ports but not allowed on oil tankers so it got incredibly hot.

I had fibroids when I was 26 and they wanted to do a hysterectomy, so glad I refused and then fled the country. A few hiccups but have managed to produce one child. I think they were being a tad previous!
Woofy i love your comments about oil tankers, most people waffle about their cruising but never on an oil tanker. I love it.

Good morning. I have to get up and go out as have arranged to meet some friends of friends. You know how it is. I slept better last night too.

Its so weird Neti because (like the rest of us) the things I did and saw are history now and yet to me its all like it just happened yesterday....well okay maybe last week.....Torts are fine now its a bit cooler, it was too hot even for them. Dogs have got into the habit of getting me out of bed for a wee around 6am and then getting up for good around 7 to 8 for breakfast. Shughy then goes back to sleep and Rab goes and daydreams in the garden. I must start taking them for early walks again now Rab’s shoulder is better but often they are still hunting the garden at 1am which makes getting back up at 04.30 problematic to say the least....but they are happy.
Now its cooler I must get the bathroom and boiler sorted. It was too hot to shut the dogs away while I got someone in to quote.

I do a lot of chair bopping these days Neti.
Went to Argos this morning and Lidl with my bro .I've been wondering why the phone doesn't work and then got some texts from people who've rung and it was dead and then looked at it and the batteries have leaked .I didn't know you had to use rechargeable ones .You know you're knocking on when you're the proud owners of a new big button phone with a loud ringer ...haha.
Got good bargains in Lidl .It's XXL week.I've got enough Gouda cheese to last 'til Christmas :)

Oh shaney. I also have a wireless big button phone. But a normal sized one in bedroom and can hardly see it!! I use loudspeaker all the time.

Dull and damp, it rained heavily last night. Didn't have time to do much tinter yesterday, I was making the most of the lovely weather.

Oh yes jno, halloween, my special day, how could I forget that. They'll still be sneaking the xmas goodies on the shelves though.

When I was small I wondered why old people talked about the past all the time, it seemed like an eternity ago as it does when you've only lived a few years. Now I realise that 30/40 or more years ago seems like yesterday.

Well stupid thoughts often flit through my empty head but I excelled myself this morning. I'd gone back to sleep after I'd intended to get up so I came down in a fog. The kitchen was dark and I opened the fridge to get the milk out and thought 'Oh buffer, I left the light on in there all night'.....hahaha. I can't believe myself, what the....?
There's no hope, is there?

When I'm dropping off to sleep I dream of some thing like typing and if d my fingers actually doing it, weird!
Just done first eBay purchase (well hja has. For me) it's a firestick with kodi and Mobdro which we just plug into the telly hdmi and can watch any programme from around the world. Already have it on phone and tablet but bl***y Samsung won't connect to the TV. Hope it works.
