Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Good morning all.
Good luck woofy, mine was uncomfortable but if the end result is ok then that's all that matters.
Had a super night's sleep. Hija is away for our or two nights and I didn't hear the cat patting about, it falls to Mr N to let her in and sit with her until she settles, I heard nothing!
Neighbours have a huge machine at their gate blocking all their Lane, no idea what it is doing, can't work it out but it's noisy.
Have a good day!
Morning all
Another hot one but storms on the way and a huge drop in temps so my joints tell me.I'd better sort out my vests.
I think I must be due for the pancake machine. It's usually around Christmas and it must be getting on for three years since the last one.
Mr S has gone to Lidl. It's Alpenfest week .God knows what he'll bring back .Yodel-ay-hee-hoo.Hope you're all ok .

.
Morning...cool, dull and mist/fog rolling in and out. I wish it would brighten up, I've got a load of pegging out to do, it's the last warm day today, the full moon's bringing a big change. Tut... I was getting used this.

I think I'll have a Billy Fury day, my brother would have been 73 today.
Just for you Robinia .

I love Billy Fury!!

Neighbours had two palm trees removed, I'd like them removed!!!
Still hot but not so unpleasant until now. Just had a dip in pool now just sittin'.
Bought son English sausages 15 for 6€ Richmond Irish??
whoo it is hot out there. There are soem tall ships down at Greenwich so I may venture out to have a look at them before the T-storms land.
Question Author
Aww thanks have just been listening to Billy Fury, gosh so long ago and I was so young. Who knew.....
We had a couple of tall ships in here last weekend Jno as it was the maritime festival. There's usually a few pics on the local website but they don't seem to have updated it.
'Tis very hot .I think I'll jump in the birdbath with the sparrows. Funny just now ,there was a blackbird in the middle having a good old splash and the sparrows were all perched round the edge twittering , as if to say ..hurry up we want a go ..haha. Comical to watch.
Question Author
Gone down to 26° here but am still sitting in front of the fan!!
Question Author
Having such a lazy quiet day, hija out and Mr N out, I am liking it!
that was a very partial success. It turns out the ships are actually at Woolwich, which is miles away, despite the very limited publicity on the interweb saying itw as Greenwich. We saw three of them. I have no idea how many there are supposed to be, none of the announcements is letting on.

Plus we rashly believed the weather forecasts about rain starting at 6pm and left the washing on the line. It started at 4.15 instead, gave everything a good little rinse and then stopped again as soon as we'd come home and got it inside. Bah humbug.
Question Author
Oh dear jno, that's the manaña effect!! Snap out of it!

Morning all. I see Jude is still trekking all over the place.
Well expected rain, didn't.
Hope you are all alright.
pouring all night here, still pouring. Fortunately no washing on the line overnight.
Morning all
No rain here atm and we didn't get any in the night but don't think it will be too long before it starts .It's moving eastwards on the map.
Morning all... it was a beautiful day yesterday and a lovely big pink moon last night. What a difference today, it's dark, chilly and very wet. It hammered down in the night and it's raining now. Yes, Bah humbug from me too.

Great Billy music shaney, I couldn't post on this site from my kindle. It's not perfect on this big puta, it keeps freezing. I wish they'd sort it out, I see others are having problems.

My sparrows and blackbird did exactly the same the other day. They've been great little entertainers this year, I've got about 30 now... not free entertainment though, I spend a fortune on food. I've even bought this canvas to put on a bare wall in the dining room. I wasn't looking for it but it kind of popped up, as these things do, and made me smile. :) I'd got some money on an amazon gift card. Ordered Mon, here on Wed.

I like that Robinia .
The spadgers are all in hiding atm and I don't blame them ,it's absolutely persisting down now and I've had to put a cardi on as the temps have dropped like a stone.I think summer is officially over .
Morning...dull and a depressing rf of 12C :(

There was an hour and half long documentary about Billy Fury on BBC4 last night. What a coincidence.
I didn't sleep too well so I'll probably be done in by chs on tst time.
